Love mine. Can't live without it. One of the greatest things to ever happen to my life. I use it for... - recording - as a way to use my reference monitors when listening to music on youtube, even gaming - I also plug my MPC Live 2 into it, in order to relay that sound to my reference monitors AND to sample TO the MPC, FROM the computer - I plug the OUT of my analog mastering chain into the input for channels 19/20 in order to send this signal chain to my reference monitors while mastering This thing is SO useful. Took a while to learn, because this is my first USB mixer. There's so much you can do with it, so many routing options available to you. But powerful, once you get the hang of it.

This tutorial was given to me by the owner of the shop. It was never meant to be distributed for public consumption. The video was too large for me to text to my bandmates so I uploaded to KZread. Sorry for my interjections to instructions as he gives them. We have had board for over a year now and it works great for gigging. Have not tried to record with it yet.

This is the best video for the Signature 22 MTK that I have seen on You Tube. I only have one minor issue with this video. You don't show the whole console while expertly describing the features of this great board. Thank you for your video,..it's really helped.

I love any videos where older experienced folks tell it like it is. I just bought this board and this video was great for the basics.

From the opening seconds I finally found someone who knows his stuff and I wanted to to learn from him I’ve just bought the 12mtk version and all the other videos regarding are annoying

Rex, this is excellent guidance and a very good walkthrough of the mixer and how to use it. Really good.

This shop owner knows his stuff and knows how translate that knowledge in a simple and friendly manner. Watching this video for the fifth time now just because I enjoy his voice so much.

Hi Rex. I'm a bit years late ..but got my signature a few months back . A little confused on how to use the groups. . Can I group instruments intro 4 groups or just 1&2 and 3 &4 Also .. what do I use the group outs next to the master outs for You mentioned in the video u can use it for 4 track recording. But can I use them as monitor mixes also. ... Hope I asked the questions properly. .. as I'm still confused about the groups. . So pls see if you can make sense of it. Many Thanks Colin

I love this idea but I wish this had inserts on every channel.

How good is this as a recording interface? I use an apogee duet but like to take advantage of the multitrack outputs.

Want to use this for live gigs, I know it has Left and Right Masters out to Speakers, But I also have 2 Subwoofer. Can I use Group1 output for left Subwoofer and Group2 output for right Subwoofer? (obviously going to a amp/crossover then to subs) Would I have to press the Group 1-2 on all channels? putting the Group 1-2 Volume same as master?

Purchased Mixer September 2018. Still working great. Have not used it for recording as yet. Works great for gigs.

I'm getting no sound, usb connected but no sound nor does window media play audio,.it acts like its not connected

Hello! Am I able to use the efx aux channels for monitors? I haven't picked this mixer up because I hear it can't be done. The last 2 blue efx knobs are hard wired for efx only? Is this correct?

Late answer, but you actually can use the two blue knobs as extra aux sends. Just don't turn on any of the FX, and you can simply use them as two extra aux sends. So the board can technically have 5

Hi Rex, I hope you can answer this question. I have a Zoom eight track Thunderbolt audio interface. I went with Thunderbolt because from the research that I did, it was much better than USB. So now I am trying to figure out how I can get 8 tracks to send out my Zoom audio interface. It looks like this board has only four channels out that I can use to send out to the audio interface. Anyway that I can split those 4 into 8. The Behringer QX2442 has 8 output channels on their group, but they are unbalanced which I'm not a big fan of. If I use a split cable will that help. Sometimes I just wish I would be content using USB, and that would simplify everything. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

@@rexrohrssen1089 No prob. Glad that you made the effort to at least reply to my comment. I now have the board and I am learning how to use it. I decided to get rid of my Zoom using Thunderbolt and just continue with USB. This way I get all 24 tracks to use. The feeling that I got from most people in the know is that the difference isn't that big. So far I haven't had any problems with latency. I think it will be a great way to learn more about recording and will improve my music.

Newbie question..hope i get a reply... regarding effects, can each channel be assigned differents effects?

Good Day Maynard. I am the uh-huh guy in the video not the owner of the store explaining how it works. That being said: There are 2 FX Banks and each channel allows you to mix in one or both. You could have delay on one Bankl and reverb on the other and mix one or both to each channel. The FX Banks are nice but we really do not utilize them much for our gigs. Board is almost 2 Years old now and has not got much use with COVID but still works great. I did mess with using board as a recording mixer a bit. I used the Ableton Free Software that came with it and it worked OK but only allows 4 channels. I would need to pay for full subscription to use all the channels. Will probably pony up at some point in the future.

I want to play music from a laptop through the 12mtk signature mixer, but the LED indicator on the right side of the MST meter remains with the lights on high, even if I have lowered the level on the channel I am playing in my case 11-12 on the 11-12 am channel pressed usb rtn, pfl and mst and the MST indicator remains unchanged even if I raise or lower the lever level on the respective channel. How can I get the correct index by moving the lever up to increase the mst lights and if I put it down to decrease the level of the mst lights? I want to play music from a laptop or tablet, what connections should I use for good quality usb from laptop rca in or jack in? Thank you very much

has usb return on each channel so u can use eq's and faders on recorder stuff aswell as the lexicon effects. you can also use aux to use external fx

I can`t understand a word the guy is saying. With such a powerfull mixer why didn`t he put his mike through the mixer to EQ it.

Band is still together. Mixing Board went in for repair this summer as Channel # 3 went out. Repaired under warranty. No repair centers close to Iowa as the shop we purchased it from closed down. Had to ship to CA. Repairs went fine and Board made it back in time for first gig in 18 months. All is well!

While the situation around this video is understandable and the coaching is great, people need to understand that when you make a video like that, you have to forgo your eyeballs watching directly the subject. You have to look through your camera at all times, for the sake of your audience.

Good review by the engineer but his voice is too low than the the other guy... My advice get a good shot for the camera
