I love the fact you’re actually hitting center not just a group anywhere
I have a Lithgow LA101 in 17HMR. I have it zeroed at 100 yards and it basically puts the bullet in the same hole every shot! Great rifles!
BEcause of the height of your scoop you only have to tilt your rifle 2deg to open your group.your good groups were when you shoot four shoots without moving .. so when you shift on the target your point of impact shifted . .point is your rifle will not shift impact from left target to the right , its the way you are holding the rifle . still bloody good shooting .hope this helps you . watch video again to see what I mean .
🇦🇺 Aussie here. Great to see you’re enjoying a Lithgow. Great video mate and I only had all my platforms (including 22) out at the range a few times over the past few weeks.
Very fine rifle, and great shooting on your part. I just want to say, that I love your channel man. You have such an uplifting spirit, it shows through your channel. Makes my day just to see a new video from you. And... I do "kind of" like it when you throw a flyer and get frustrated. Not wishing ill will, but I've been there , and it cracks me up. Keep it up my friend
Just subscribed. Awesome video and phenomenal grouping!!! I've never used Laupua, but I have used Eley before and had great performance out of my 10-22. I wasnt even using their top of the line at that time.
Great video! I've had my Marlin XT22 out for the past couple weeks and am loving it. Yeah, it's super cheap gun, but, it loves SK Rifle Match...and in short...tons of fun!
One heck of a group @50 yards in less than a 2 inch target knocking 5 rds in the eye.I tip my hat to you sir. Until nextime I'll see you at the range
When I was a kid, it was common practice to smear jelly on targets and shoot flies. It would be cool to see closeups in slowmo

I had a fly land on my barrel ,got got my brother to work it down the barrel ,when over the bore I pulled the trigger , dtd the 22 hit it or the wind from the barrel push it away ?
Nice Shooting. Thanks for adding the link to print out the targets.
I have enjoyed your commentary of this 22 lr ammo
That's a very accurate rifle but you had to do your part. Great shooting, congratulations. Enjoyed the video, thanks.

Truly humbled by this statement. Thank you for stopping by
My Lithgow is also very picky with the ammo selection. The only modification I've done is to change out the trigger spring to a lighter version. I've also found it does not like is having the action screws over torqued on the plastic stock version. Enjoying your content!

The Lithgow 101 .22 loves Elley Match (black box)
Great video. Great shooting! Thank you.
Just a suggestion if i may...if your shooting for group as in this video then try keeping center hold on the bullseye but adjust your scope to impact either above the bullseye or below, this will keep your bullseye intact for a truer point of aim.
Excellent shooting sir. That rifle both look and shoot awesome. I've just got a brand new Weihrauch HW66. Very smoth action and finish. Can only hope it is nearly as precise as your Lithgow.
That 101 and Ctr-x is a great combo.........................................outstanding !!

Thank you very much! Yours and 22plinkster's are the best KZread videos I've seen that match the accuracy of my Lithgow. We all have the laminate stock. Blogs suggest the laminate wood stock may be more accurate than the polymer stock. I believe it based on my experience and others. There are other videos out there and none matched the accuracy of mine and yours. (Maybe we know how to shoot better, haha).

It must have been your trigger control. The Lithgow 101 with CenterX is a hole in hole beast! Nice shooting!
Another Aussie here. I use my Lithgow LA101 .22lr to shoot bench rest at my local range. Shooting in "hunter class" I usually come home with either a gold or silver medal. I also have been know on several occasions out shot the "target" class. My rifle likes Lapua Midas+, Eley Match and CCI Standard. It is topped with a Bushnell Rimfire scope.
Exelecent shooting Sir!
That is some good shooting. I don't get many duds from Eley but I am going to try some of that centerx.
Ok, that thing tac drives. Wowzer! Ill try this out, but it wont be near that accuracy haha. Great fun challenge 👍

Had to pick up 200 of the SABRP to try out in my B14r. Havent had a chance to shoot it yet, but hoping for good results. Not that im dying to find another 20cpr ammo that shoots well, but good info to have.
Lapua Center X hammers in my Bartlein barreled Sako Quad. I found the that the Lapua was the most consistent with less vertical stringing (velocity variance) at long range (+100 yards).

= The Squirrel Never Had A Chance !! And I, also agree with those who commented about the duds ! For that price, there shouldn't be a single squib in the box ! To get two in the same box is an outrage !!! And should be reason enough to get a refund + shipping, when you return what's left of the box ! Great video !!
Ya know I feel like a lot of people talk crap about the CZ polymer mags but I actually prefer them. It seems they may be slightly less likely to deform the bullet, also less like to break apart at the seams like a lot of Savage MK II mags. And most people have no problem with Glock and as we all know that is a completely polymer frame. We all know the 10/22 mag is amazing as well!

Eley "Action" shoots tight groups in my Tikka T1x. 1/2" or less @ 50yrds and it's 27.50 for a brick.
My groups are always best after I put 2 or 3 test shots (with the specific ammo I am testing) down the bore. Do you do that ? Excellent video BTW.
Would like to see a video with a Winchester 52C with some barrel band tuning how it affects accuracy.
Have you had a good look at the misfires and check the firing pin imprint on the case ? It maybe that the cases are slightly harder . That being the case does the firing pin spring need changing . Just a thought . Great shooting
The Lithgow is definitely a shooter! Outstanding groups! Are you able to Email the targets? now back to our "roots" .. well .. I am older than you and I started with 22 shorts and 22 longs.. and man I shot a bunch of them.

That first target was still shooting the center x center x lube. I have done that before and as soon as it gets eley lubricant in there it just keeps worse that eley is not a good ammo or that is my opinion. Still some really good shooting bro. Beagleman

I have never had a dud with my CZ455 28" barrel, i use Browning 1435 f/s 40 gr - I shoot only 100 yds in door range..
The Bullet may have been damaged from the insertion with the metal magazine. Nice groups otherwise
Would love to see how a auto loader does with the eley. I shoot a kidd and have been curious if it will out preform the eley force. Thanks for the great vid!

I have has issues with Eley duds in my rimfire's as well, and that includes Eley I have purchased in Canada and in New Zealand. Multiple lots. However it does shoot very good but dam for the price you pay a guy shouldn't be getting so many duds.

I have never had a dud round ever on my CZ455 and my Anschutz MPR64 with 1000’s of rounds with all brands of target ammo Eley -Tenex, tenex biathlon, Eley Match, Eley Edge, , Eley target, Eley Contact, -Federal match, Ultra Match, HVmMatch Lapua CenterX, RWS SPECIAL MATCH, RIifle Match, SK LONG RANGE, Match and several sub brands etc...
Excelente video me gustaría participar en un video así
Guy at my club owns one and shots RWS and shots well , in one group he had 5 shots in the same hole I wouldn’t of believed if I wasn’t actually watching it happen , I own the larger 223 lithgow and unfortunately I let it down lol , would like to splash the cash on one of these later
lithgow 101 is a very good rifle try SK RIFLE MATCH I USE IN MI CZ i have try SK pistol mach and the special try also long range as well as flat nose still the best is SK MATCH in my rifle ,maybe not for everyone
How about shooting at 100yds. ie (much better comparison for group accuracy)
Misfires could be headspace
May want to check the case heads to see what the strikes look like and inspect the firing pin. If the gun was dry fired much it could mushroom the face of the firing pin and cause erratic ignition.

Nice rifle and excellent shooting.
If that rifle accepts CZ magazines, it should accept as well the CZ single shot plastic single shot "magazine" We did a test with 3 CZ452 on 100 m and the spreading always shrinked that much that every one bought such a single shot insert. We supposed that loading from a 5 shot mag tilted the cartridge too much so the tip of the bullit touched the chamber. But despite all the positive adaptations, a Anschütz 54 Super Match always became first in club competition.
Where did you get those targets?

Since our local range has opened back up due to covid crisis, I will shoot this for the fun of it with several rifles. Anschutz 64, Kimber 82G, CZ 457 TMR Varmint and factory Ruger TNZ 10/22. Been years for the TNZ but it must be a shooter for i have kept it. Would include a BSA Century (most accurate 22 lr i own) but no way am i drilling the old but pristine gal for scope blocks. Ain't going to happen....naw naw to the oh hell naw. I have no way of filming this but it will let me know where some of the rifles i have stand against others.

@Dayattherange
4 жыл бұрын
No apologies from me -- 22 is a lot of fun.
Your misfires are due to the priming compound NOT being evenly distributed around the rim during manufacture ,,, To shoot a "RIMFIRE" miss fire from a bolt rifle , simply lift the bolt and lower the bolt to "re-cock" the action ,it will rotate the round to a "new" position on the rim for the pin to strike , i'm talking 0.00005 of an inch , is all it needs 99% of the time :)
How on earth can you blame a magazine , in a bolt action rifle for poor accuracy?? In a semi auto yeah fair enough , but from a bloody bolt action , no chance in hell ole mate , especially from the LA101 ,, with your so called fail to fire , try lifting the bolt and closing it again , it turns the rim 1/nth of a mm , which will allow the pin to hit the compound
@Dayattherange
3 жыл бұрын
The Lithgow is a great rifle and I understand your commitment to it but yes a magazine can and will on a bolt action cause trouble in accuracy from time to time. If the round is not lifted high enough for a straight feed into the chamber you can get bullet shaving when feeding.
