#RabSummitExtreme #MLDduomid
It was great to be back out on another wild camp with Rob 'The Wandering Minstrel'. This time we chose Ben Venue in the Trossachs via Glen Ledard. The summer weather didn't quite play ball though, still it was a good test of boys and toys with the Rab Summit Extreme and MLD Duomid shelters getting a good rattling.
Here's the link to RS Outdoors video I mention in the film: • Stunning Wild Camping ...

Ha, the irony is our location was pinging as Dunblane. That's the only reason she didn't call MRT, she thought it be a tech failure, not human ( whisky induced ) error :-)

Good one again Andrew. I'm not long back from a summit camp on Goatfell. Your video was a help in letting me know the lie of the land there. Keep them coming, they are appreciated. Norrie frae Lithgae

@@AndrewParkOutdoors love it Sir. Ease of pitching is great and I've got to admit, I am a tunnel tent rebel (f10 xenon, lightwave t10, t20 , nanok domus duo, etc) but crossed over poles gives a wee bit of a sigh of relief in big winds. Had tunnels in mad stuff and coped just fine, but flapped worse than the mother in law in an overpriced tea room when asked to pay.

Ben Venue is a favourite hill of mine, great video Andrew. Btw, the trig point is not the summit as its only at 727m, the true summit is the western peak at 729m, as I learned to my cost when I first climbed it many years ago, then had to do it again :-)

Hi Paul, thanks. It's made by 3F UL Gear and I think it's the winter inner for a Lanshan 1, seems a few folk use them with the MLD for colder weather.
