Yeah, it went that high. People pulled some REALLY long combos.

Damn it when your character hits midair in the biggest combo of your life lol it always happens though eventually your character will try to punch air....

Yup. Was running out of time anyways. Yeah this is the PC version. Its the ability to use the mouse and keyboard here that really makes the difference and not so much the framerate. The controller cannot match the speed and precision of the mouse. All enemies spawn without weapons, knife or not. They just pick up the weapons on the ground. If you are fast enough, you dont give them a chance to pick them up

Congrats on getting your first 3 medals! Always a good starting point. You want to focus on the holding your combo rather than the score. A high combo is pretty much what will determine your score

yep! totally with you here. That happens to me all the time... especially when you do counters. Then I took the time to learn all the different counters batman and all the other characters do. A good rule of thumb to avoid what just happened to you is to not strike a tight cluster of enemies in a row. Try to change direction. In order to do that you have to get good at constantly moving the camera and scanning the environment and know where most of the enemies are at all times.

Thanks! Glad you found it helpful. Closer enemies tend to attack next, so I had to anticipate it. So I waited for the attack warning to counter at 6:14. You are definitely most vulnerable while attempting to ultra-stun a titan.

thats pretty good! one tip for the VIP lounge. Dont quite the game and start over when you lose the combo, keep going until you die... as the enemies get harder later on in the game, you will get better training

I know most people prefer using a gamepad because they are more comfortable with it. On the PC, you can map the buttons anyway you like if you get the right gamepad. So there is little difference in versatility between the two except for one thing -- camera control. You are stuck with one speed when moving the camera on a gamepad, but with a mouse, you can move the camera as fast as you like. So thats why I prefer this setup.

Yeah, they should, and it was a very fun combat engine to mess around with, next to the Koei's warriors combat engines.

Hey Thanks! I do play the VIP lounge, just dont have anything good enough to post yet. You are right, in a sense, it is easier, but it does get quite boring and I tend to lose patience... then concentration. Therefore, I tend to use that map for training purposes. I have similar opinions about this map as Nate, if you go back read some of the past comments on his 1800 vid.

Wow. You're like the second person I know to have gotten the game for two different systems. :P I would try PC, and an HD cap device, if I had the money. I've had a lot of paths to show on this game, and it's a shame I didn't do them in HD quality.

Remember back in Arkham Asylum, getting a 100x combo was an accompishment? Now we got people getting over 1000x, holy shit.

I have the GOTY edition, if the score is the same for GOTY and the other, we have a awnser... I didn't know about that, its really very sad, theu should reset those top scores, because 95% of the stages, the top is from the same player with this incontable combo points... at least, I almost have 100% of the game. Just by looking at how combat has evolved from Arkham Asylum, it looks like those core mechanics, the freeflow/combo system is here to stay. Even a lot of the basic upgrades and gadgets remained similar. I would like to see them bring back the ability to throw enemies again.

Bruh. I find it so badass that each character has there own move set and items that they can use in these, almost puts arkham asylum to shame, but that's my opinion.

Thanks! I was rushing to hit level 4 before cashing in the clock, and then rushing for level 2 after losing the chain. You will definitely make mistakes by being too hasty. Probably should not have pushed the clock so close to the edge. Yep, I still have the PS3 game disc, but have not used it for a long while

I do in story mode, but with challenges I had to scale down the resolution and turn off many settings if I wanted to record at the same time and keep 60FPS. I didnt expect I had to do that with a system like this, but I guess fraps is pretty resource hungry

I know what you mean :) I have the PS3 version also and there are some occasional crashes, but not a showstopper. The biggest difference with the console versions is the camera control, which moves much more slowly than the mouse can. You can still strike fast with a slower camera. Its just a difference strategy. Other than that, I dont really find lag issues or responsiveness with the controls.

Capturing HD is problematic with Fraps, even with a close to top end system. I had to scale down 720P to preserve an acceptable framerate. Then I found Bandicam which can do it, but with less quality. Great speedruns BTW!

I am definitely going to make some vids on the other combat maps, but not the predator ones, since all I did was copy one Jedi master's strategy, InTehVaria. I dont have anything new to bring to the table. You want to check out his vids. They are simply awesome

sounds like you got a pretty kick ass rig there... is it relatively new? I just ensure my frame rate stays as close to 60 as possible as it could mean the difference between losing and not losing a high combo at a critical moment

Thanks! I dont really think resetting the scores will help. Ppl are still putting up fake scores with older/hacked versions of the game. Congrats on getting almost 100%. Even I have not bothered with that. I only got about 80% Some of those Riddler Trophies are really tricky.

Of course. I loved his vids and all I did was copy his runs, so thats why I dont post any predator vids as I have nothing new to add. I will go as far to say that Camera control is EVERYTHING, It is paramount to be constantly scanning the environment to know where your foes are... predator or combat. I actually started playing this game on the PS3... loved it so much that I had to get the PC version just to see how much better it is... and I did not regret the decision

Have you ever heard of InTehVaria? He posts a lot of predator videos, and I noticed from the quick jerking motions of the camera that he uses mouse and keyboard. I can only imagine how much more accommodating that is, since I'm constantly fighting the camera angles while doing speed runs on the PS3 controller.

yep, just try to improve 1 step at a time like I did. you get 400x, then try to get a 5 or 600x. So did you get that in the VIP lounge or Carnival?

The key specs: i7-3740QM 6MB, Dual 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7970M CrossFireX, Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB SSD, 24GB Ram. The 3D Mark Graphics score is over 11K while the Titan has 12K. The only thing these cards do poorly is PhysX... so maybe I am not missing that much

you tried lowering the settings such as resolution, quality, antialiasing [I turn that off completely] etc? you may also want to scan your PC for malware just in case. I had that crap running in the background without my knowledge before, slowing down my PC significantly

I have also read about trainers/hacks that give you God mode, 9999X combo multipliers, one hit kills etc which worked on the early versions of the game as well. Apparently, they dont work on the GOTY edition, which is what I have... too bad... it would have been fun to try to put up a 1 billion score :P

I understand what you mean... I read quite a few debates on the forums on mouse/keyboard vs controller and believe it or not, most felt that the controller is better. I wish more ppl would think like you to make console controllers better

not a bad system. Seems like AC runs quite well in many systems. I got my 1600 combo on a 3 yr old ATI 5750 card with 1GB, but had to scale the resolution down to 1024x768 to get 60FPS while recording. I do agree with you about AMD, thats why their processors are more famous for gaming

If you want to get better, you may still want to bite that boredom bullet like I did. This is where you really hone your bread and butter skills and build up a strong sense of enemy movement, which I would say is essential to any combat map.

exactly, though I never tried them, based on info from a few forums, I heard that there are trainers that grants you a 9999x combo multiplier or something to that effect. So you can get a million points with no skill at all. I recently got a 270K on the Funhouse Brawl map, which I believe is pretty close to being fully optimized and I got like a rank of 130 or something... ridiculous

totally. I would sacrifice some FPS and max out all the details in story mode to get a better experience, but when it comes to these fighting challenges, which you will repeatedly see, you dont need them to look pretty, performance should be the first priority

a slight correction... just checked again, my score on funhouse brawl extreme is actually 370K w/ a rank of 68. Almost all the top 50 scores are over 1M and there seems to be a huge gap between 500K and the next highest score, so I believe that 500K score is probably real

I dont think I would be able to do this without the mouse and keyboard. The controller simply cannot move the camera with the same speed and precision as the mouse, nor are single key special moves available.

at the initial stages, I had about 95000 points with long combs, most part is fluency combs, and the top score players is about 1milion, I can't belive that, it's some kind of trick... is there a hack for points? =/
