22 SAS Operator 🇬🇧 | Phil Campion | Ep. 264

Phil Campion was given up for adoption at birth. He ended up with violent adoptive parents and was sent to a series of children's homes. He left school at 16 and with no qualifications to his name, he saw himself as fit for one thing only - the life of a soldier.
He joined the Royal Hampshires (now the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment), and in spite of such a challenging start in life, Phil went on to extraordinary achievements. He became one of the few British soldiers ever to pass both the Royal Marines Commando selection and the Parachute Regiment, before going for the ultimate challenge - selection into the Special Air Service (22 SAS).
Having served with distinction in many cutting edge combat operations in the SAS, he moved on to working the private military circuit and became a global gun for hire. He propelled himself to the top of his game and commanded teams of up to 100 private military operators around the globe.
Partly as a result of such experiences he invented a digital dog tag that has revolutionized personal security and medical care in remote danger zones.
Phil's story is one of enormous inspiration, proving how the human spirit can endure against all odds and achieve the remarkable. His examples and lessons learned from a life in the military elite have wide resonance for businesses, companies and other organizations today.
'Big' Phil Campion is a highly sought after speaker. With so many fascinating and indeed fearsome stories he is able to inspire, educate and amuse in equal measure.

Phil Campion is the epitome of an SAS Blade, just like all the other guys who have served in its ranks through the years. And just so people know ,Phil has earned his Green beret having done the "AACC"All srms commando course. Also his Maroon beret ,having passed P-Company and the most famous of all the, Special forces selection to earn his SAS sandy beret and blue stable belt. Passing all three of the hardest training's in the British military, and considered some of the hardest training out of any Military. What Phil done is known as the Holy Trinity in the British army,he passed/earned the three hardest training's out of them all.

Dean Stott and Ant Middleton are just two who served with them, but it would have been 59 Commando at the time.

Ex-SAS, but doesn't show it off, very humble and self deprecating which is a rare quality in folks these days - funny and I am sure a great laugh at a party, although I would not want to mess with him even today , as "those SAS guys, they're real badasses..." Thank you for hosting Big Phil and if you were interested in Mr Oatway, I can talk to him for you, no promises ( out of respect to all of you) but, I don't want to steal Mr Campions thunder here, just putting it to you in case. I'm sure he's gutted or regrets getting booted or i mean buying himself out,as he knew his actions whilst being in the SAS he was causing himself problems which they didn't like ,so leaving at that particular time when the SAS was just about to start or take their part on the war on terror. He mentions in another interview that he got out at the start of September 2001 and then a week or so later the twin towers get attacked. So something tells me, he regrets missing out on that chapter of the SAS spe ding years over there between Iraq and Afghanistan as im sure Phil would have been in the thick of it ,and would have done his job to the best of his ability as he was a top bloke ,and most of all a top soldier.

Big Phil! Legend is a word heavily over used however he truly is! His book Born Fearless is excellent and he's quite correct we've all been men who could be better but we grown mature and mellow. Long may he continue. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧
