Ohhhh, that turned out stunning! What a beautiful touch putting the emblem on. How fun to see the owner of the bowl and how pleased they were.

I never thought that the bowl would come out sooo beautiful. I was thinking What a Mess. I'm sorry, I was dead wrong, you have great talent and patience, you are a asset to the pottery community.

I agree with you on the long process of glazing but like you said when you see the results, it's WELL worth the time and effort it took. You glaze your pieces the same way I do....with experimental patience. Great video. Thanks

You are so right. Hand glazing with a brush and layering really does take soo long!! I haven’t had anything come out as amazing as this but they are definitely looking better that’s for sure!! This makes me want to go glaze right now

Thought it would be neat to mention that I tried this combo but used a large belly vase instead. The way the colors mixed is quite a bit different they look really neat. The textured amber brown turned more into a rustic wood color, and the blue stone looked amazing on it and shifted down. Definitely something you should try. The large bowl I did, was very similar to how you did yours, but there is a major difference from bowl to vase. Both look amazing.

I wasn’t not able to post pics of it on your page but sent them to you in message. Will take more the vase is super shiny mirror finish and need to change the back ground.

I truly wish you would have left it, has you said you would, without oatmeal ..... as I would have LOVED to see the piece without oatmeal.. so we could ACTUALLY see how the glazes reacted on their own. Dang it!

Please watch the video through as it does explain fully. If your still confused the. Let me know what I can do to help. Also video 18 I think is the same bowl before I sold and added the opening. There may be clearer info on that one.

Hi Lois...quick question. Someone on the Amaco Brent Facebook page warned me about layering celadon glazes with other amaco dinnerware glazes and their food safety. I have combined the celadon glazes with potters choice glazes, and love the results, but am now concerned about using the pots for food consumption. Have you heard anything regarding layering these combos? Thx! Mary

When I watched them Amaco Brent stated only the single glaze was tested and at the point you out a second layer you would need to test yourself. Clearly they need to cover themselves. I have many layered cups etc but can’t clarify I’m afraid.

It's lovely but for that size bowl, what is the retail price? I could only get around $30 - $40. For that amount of glazing work, that comes out to about $3 per hour.

I have sold some of my large bowls for £120/£150 and extra shipping abroad. There is a lot of work here and people either pay for the quality or I keep it. I will not devalue myself and neither should you.
