I had a 22ppc back years ago. The 22ppc was very very accurate for me. Nice shooting by the way.

So, did Hornady come out with 22 ARC to shut down the 22 DPC? Seems like the timing is suspect. Not sure how the two compare, but it seems like they might be very similar.

Great test and video ! Can you possibly test some cheap bullets but with decent bc like75gr bthp see if they can reach 1000 easily in most conditions. At RMR bullets website they have this 75gr bthp(hornady replica?) for less than 16 cents per round.

Options for barrel or complete upper come with headspaced matched complete Aero Precision BCG's. Mags are easily bought through online retailers. Duramag and Amend 2 or my top pick for 6ARC/22DPC mags

You ever try vv n135 in this? I came up with a new load in one of my ARC guns seem to group real well,sub moa, shooting 85 grain sierras. Tighter group than cfe or vv n133? I’d love to try a DPC, one of these days I’ll have one.

Hey, I have enjoyed you working with 6 ARC and subsequently 22 DPC. You are one of few channels that has done a good amount of work with 6 arc in a bolt gun and AR. I am curious, why 22 DPC and not 224 valkyrie? They seem very similar, the 22 DPC having a little shorter and fatter case than the 22 Valkyrie but with only a 1/2 grain difference in case capacity between the 6 ARC and 224 Valkyrie I would have to imagine the performance should be close. A little comparison from your perspective would be nice to see. I really like the 6 ARC and I really like the idea of running the highest BC bullets for caliber. It seems like a 90 grain would work in the 22 DPC but a 110 or 115 would be too heavy for a 6 ARC. Cheers

Thank-you. As perspective, its about case design and efficiency. The 224 Valkyrie is unable to push these velocities that a 22 DPC can. Im not talking small difference e.g: 22 Valkyrie 88gr ELD with a 24" barrel I have personally pushed at 2720. The 22 DPC will push 2900+ at a shorter barrel length of 22" and over 2900 with a 24" giving significant edge over the 224 Valkyrie. I didn't show it on this video but the 18" 22DPC was pushing the 90gr Berger VLD at 2670 fps. Ballistically comparing, the 80.5gr and 85.5 velocities in a 22in match the same elevation adjustment and wind holds as my 6mm Creedmoor competition bolt gun but in an AR15

What velocity do you see with a 62 grain out of an 18" barrel? This seems like a great sweet spot of a cartridge. @@EagleEyeShooting

I remember 2 yesrs ago, you Ray said the 6 arc would takeover PRS, i posted that the Dasher could do anything a 6arc could do in a bolt gun but better. As of now nobody has won a 2 day national level match with a 6 arc, the Dasher how ever has won almost all of them.

6arc won second place at the GAP grind and thier where more 6 arcs than dashers. But whatever your say

Yes. Same dimensions basically. They use a .175 FB this cartridge is .090. IMO a better fb for the bullet range. The 22 ARC factory ammo can shoot out of this chamber

​@Tsciortino97 broken bolts. Headspacing only allows for .048", the bolt retracts as you cam over the bolt. The locking lug (if you want to call it) is prone for damage and being sheared off. The ejection molded aics adapter needs modification to fit any chassis other than MPA. Anyone that builds the barrel for this action as a cone breech is guaranteed to have metal shavings because the control round feeding geometry is trash. I can continue my list but I want to emphasize this is my opinion based off expirence and observation from 9 of these builds

I’ve a 224 Predator 1/7.7 twist 20”, 22LBC 1/7 BHW 24”, Satern 22 Grendel 1/8 18” and a few others. No disrespect but how does this differ / exceed performance of any of those? I also shoot a 243 LBC, 264 LBC, 6mm ARC and various 6.5 Grendel’s, 6.5x6.8 , 22x6.8 spc and 22 Noslers. Maybe your chambers throat a bit shorter or something but I don’t see calling it anything else except what it essentially is , a short throated 22 Grendel or 22ARC

To each their own. I have plenty of 6ARC brass and find it easier to neck down in one step to 22. The cartridge mimics near the well known 22 PPC hence the name.

Kenny did any of your 22lr rifles make it to Italy for the Worlds

According to Hornady, they started shooting a necked down 6 arc as soon as it was released in 2020.

Will you have custom dies available?
