    Every Sol, I feel like we are getting closer to the inevitable. We are going to find life on Mars. Wether or not that life is still living has yet to be known. It's not impossible for Mars to bare life. Mars was just like Earth in its early days, the ideal place for life to develop. The hurtle is finding said life, if it formed at all before the murder of the planet.

    We are just happy to see the channel alive again. And that you are in good health. Is it just me or have the images from the rover been a far higher quality then what was released in the past? For instance 5:15 (or any time around there on that image) seems like the pixel count is 4x what it normally is.

  • @ElderFoxDocumentaries

    @ElderFoxDocumentaries

    Thank you so much. Yes, I have a more powerful PC now, and I'm stitching some of the mosaics together myself. This means the images are much higher quality and are even rendered in a higher framerate with a higher bitrate. So an all-around improvement in image quality where I can, thanks for noticing! :)

  • @revtoyota

    @revtoyota

    @@ElderFoxDocumentaries Ahh ok that makes sense. It makes a big difference having that extra horse power when rendering. I just looked and I was watching it in 1080p when I noticed it. lol... You did a great job. So now I will go back watch it in 4k. I want all those frames. If you don't mind me asking whats the average render time for a video like today?

  • @ElderFoxDocumentaries

    @ElderFoxDocumentaries

    Жыл бұрын

    Sure, with my new PC, it's less than 30 mins. With a standard run of the mill gaming PC, probably 1 or 2 hours. An older PC or laptop, however, would likely struggle, and you'd have to decrease the bitrate or framerate. The image you refer to at around 5:30 was 25mb, so it's processing 25mg 60 times to generate 1 second of film where any movement is involved.

  • @revtoyota

    @revtoyota

    @@ElderFoxDocumentaries That's not bad at all. I'm guessing you are letting the GPU do the heavy lifting over the CPU. But either way it has a great final product. That frame rate looks amazing on YT. During the sickness that shall not be named I started a pet project up scaling/rendering some of my favorite older films to 4k. The average 1hour 30 minute movie took just short of 3 days of letting the pc chug along. Thank you for your answers and time. I don't want to bug you. Have a great day man, I can't wait for the next video.

    I grew up watching documentaries with my dad, and some of the narration was just God awful. And they would spend 5-10 mins talking about one photo and just keep changing the angle of the photo and slowly zooming in every 60 seconds, it was like watching a 40 min slide show presentation with only 5-6 slides. Very boring. This wasn't only very informative but also a pleasure to listen to and watch. Great timing on all of it, had my full attention through the whole video. This channel deserves to be bigger.

So does that mean it happened recently? No, it cold have been covered in dust preserving the lighter color, and might have recently been cleared from dust devil activity.

Let us imagine for a moment that planetary exploration is actually possible and is not a total hoax lie that it is. It would be a huge waste of money and time/energy that could be better spent improving the lives of so many hear in Earth but it it would a 100% waste of money as 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of all humanbeings will never live on another planet as the cost and energy to get them there would be out of their financial reach.
