Abby Urban Well I am a gap year student so I should be a freshmen however I didn’t want to zoom everyday so I sat this year out. I was really anxious about meshing with another person. I can tell you two must be close and I understand that is not the case for everyone but I do want to be comfortable with my future roommate. How did you two become so close. Any tips?

Paige Ryder I totally get that. So, Payton and I were actually randomly assigned our freshman year, but if you get to pick, I would suggest really talking to potential roommates about their living styles and habits. Then, when you get there, I wouldn’t try to force anything! Payton and I didn’t start off as best friends, but throughout the semester, we started talking more and more. I would suggest being very respectful of your roommate and asking her about her life. Then, if it’s meant to be, she will open up to you! But I think respect is the #1 thing for creating a strong relationship with your roommate. I’d also love to make a video about this topic more in-depth if that would be helpful! 😊
