  Thank you for the great video. My daughter is strongly considering applying to ND. Similar academic profile and scores and her main extra curriculars are music (orchestra, a cappella) and service related. How is the music culture at the school? For someone with a a passion for service has ND been a good fit? Any advice with how to integrate music or service into the ND essays? Lastly, thank you for being proud of your Catholic faith - I’m a lifelong Catholic as well and product of a Jesuit high school - it’s obvious you are using your talents for the Greater Glory !!   This video was so helpful!! I'm a theater and choir person and it's been quite hard for me to find Notre Dame acceptance videos where the extracurriculars aren't STEM based! This really relieved a lot of my anxieties. Did you apply early decision or regular decision?

  Also, in my experience, having an arts background allowed me to stand out at ND! I got some really cool opportunities because I occupied a relatively small niche. After graduating, I’m still really happy with my arts degree! All that to say, keep being your artistic self, and good luck in the college application process!! 💓

  Aye, FTT! Do you have any first-semester course suggestions for an up-and-coming FTT major like myself? Also, I don't believe I'll be able to take Basics of Film/Television because the Lab conflicts with Marching Band (which I will hopefully be a part of), so how do I go about that because I know it is a requirement?

  Ahh that's great! FTT majors unite!! Basics would definitely be my first suggestion, especially because I believe it's a prerequisite for a lot of the upper level FTT classes. As far as the lab goes, at least in my class, the professor (Payne) always posted the screenings online. So, you didn't actually have to attend the lab, and you could watch anything required on your own time! But if that doesn't work out, I've heard great things about the intro level theatre classes! You can always contact the head of whichever concentration you're interested in and ask for suggestions/approval to take other classes :) let me know if you have any other questions!!

  We were actually just randomly placed in our halls! Mine doesn't have air conditioning, but I promise it's not that bad! I was dreading it, but I actually love where I'm at :)

  Thanks for being a Catholic nerd... I got so excited when you said that. What is the Catholic environment like at Notre Dame? I love that it’s a Catholic school, but people always say to me “why go there if you want to go to a Catholic school?” Since it’s also a very popular school secularly.

  Haha I love being a Catholic nerd! I would say that it is a very Catholic environment (if you want it to be). There is Mass in every dorm, a beautiful basilica, constant confession times, faith-based groups, and so much more! There is so much available to you, so you just have to choose to be involved! I also have friends who are very faith-filled, so my faith has improved a lot in college :) Hope this helps!

  Hey I had a question about transfer, I’m hoping you might have some answers! I’m a freshman (college) looking to transfer into Notre Dame. I was rejected last year but I’ve been doing well Academically recently so I think there’s a chance I can get in. Have you had an experience with transfers? Do you know if they’re successful?
