Nice granny flat. We have those here in South Africa. People buy Wendy houses and convert it into a one bedroom flat/house for their elderly parents to live with them but still have privacy.

I wonder what this house would cost to build now, with inflation being the main concern. I would love to have one for myself and my miniature pincher. I drive over the road with him and we are living in a much smaller space so this little house would be like a mansion to us! I absolutely love it.

Very nice, has a lot of possibilities. If the shower was smaller, an apartment-size stackable washer/ dryer could be installed beside it, giving much needed storage (and toe space!) under the vanity. Counter-height dining island with cabinetry underneath would give more workspace and storage in the kitchen. Main issue for me is lack of storage in general-for books, clothes, brooms, etc.

If this was a Mother-in-Law house for a retired Grandma, the storage could be in the main house. This would just give you some private space of your own. It is not in the plans, but you could put a full basement under here or add a second story. Most people personalize these places.

Seen so many beautiful tiny homes, each better than the other but this one takes the cake.Both indoors and outdoors so alluring that one wants to live in it forever. Love every bit of it.

Not bad, but I got some serious doubts about the roofs doing their job... I have a similar roof supposedly covering the door and it rains right under the roof just missing the door... For the porch on the back, the sun will shine on the sofas as well... Furthermore, I would prefer to have a genkan area where I can sit down and take off shoes and whatever may be soaked and let it dry without dragging mud further into the home... Also, since the front is typically closer to noise and the back of the garden larger than the front, I'd very much prefer having most windows facing the back... PS: I always love it when the architects place the windows with respect to the outside and taking the the movement of the sun into account, as well as considering things such as ventilation. This is unfortunately why even the nicest designs fall short when not specifically designed for their target location...

This is a cozy little place. There will be comments about having the washing machine so close to the toilet, and my suggestion is: reduce the size of the kitchen table and run the counter along the outside wall, and tuck the washer under it. The kitchen needs more counter space anyway! Other than my chronic complaint about the TV over the fireplace this plan seems workable.

I clicked on this feed, because the thumbnail pic looked a lot like one of the many small houses I have designed. While I love the exterior, the interior space could have been allocated better. Plus the furniture selection and/or placement is awkward. How many times are you going to bump into that small table right by the front door? Do you really want to lean over the washing machine to properly get to the vanity sink? The island in the kitchen, which is set up for dining will also be used for meal preparation since there is very little counter space. Stools would be a better choice as the chairs would hinder .meal prep here. The exterior doors look awfully narrow. Are they wide enough to move in the refrigerator, washer, other furniture? But I do love the roofline.

So cozy! Love the windows. I think the chair on the front porch should be a rocker. and the round coffee table is a bit in the way, so change it to one of those little side tables that slides under the couch. To make room the chairs on the kitchen side should be stools that can slide under the table. The back porch could be screened in. There is even room for solar panels on the roof. I don't think a washer fits under the bathroom sink, though.

Cute. I like the front and back porch areas. But, for me, the rest needs an overhaul. Wardrobes take up valuable floor space; walk in closet is much better. For example, I would knock down the wall between bedroom and bathroom; create a walk in closet and place regular sized washer and dryer in that space.

It looks great as a model, but there’s such a small amount of space to put things you own away. I live in a tiny apartment. If I got rid of half of my things, I still would not have enough space. Most things I have were gifts from loved ones and furniture and art I made myself. I will admit, I’ve always been told I have too many books

Хорошенький домик для одного человека или пары. Я бы убрала окно рядом со входной дверью и на этой стене сделала вешалку для одежды. Диван чуть передвинула к кухне, уменьшила стол вдвое и заменила стулья на табуреты. И в спальне уменьшила окно и оставила только ТВ напротив кровати. Стол там ни к чему. Ну и конечно, заменила тумбу под раковиной в санузле - есть раковины вровень со стиральной машиной.

All very cute and charming but I never hear any advocates talking about where the hell you put these things. Where I live this house on this block would be a million plus. This tiny house movement seems to just assume you’ve got somewhere to put it. Most councils in the country I live in will not let you put this on a block with an existing house which is the only way you could afford it. What’s the point in paying a minimal price for a tiny home if the land it’s going on is over a million?
