them paint swirls were driving me crazy. who ever detailed this thing before the video needs to be reviewed.

It’s the same in Europe. Since dieselgate the qualify has fallen.

Its enlarged screen and blackstyle tires really do attract my attention no matter how early their competitors had gotten to be equipped with the same things .❤

Thank god i'm the owner of a M140i, THAT' S a real Racecar! And it sounds phantastic! BTW it's got 490 HP and is incredible fast (stage2) and no shitty blingbling in the middle of your eyesight!😂😂

I almost got one in 22 but couldn’t bring myself to pay 10kplus in mark ups so I bought a truck😂

In the black edition the taillights and 3rd brake light should be black toned from factory…. VW reacts on some critics from the golf 8 series and try to do it better in 8.5 👍

it just looks like touch, you actually need to press them! its completely different from pre facelift a bit like in the new porsche cayenne facelift

I would still prefer the blue one, sorry. The black color simply conceals all the beautiful details of the design.

@@Alexatorr I'm from Turkey, unfortunately the law is very strict about aftermarket modifications. Not quite sure if getting the mirrors wrapped is illegal but high chance. So, unlucky for me. (That, and a 150% vehicle tax)

Yes compared to mk8 but I think mk8.5 looks way better interior wise, newer and up to date. Don't get me wrong though mk7.5 has still a solid interior but it lacks of ambient lightning around the infotainment system, both doors on back seats, faster and more responsive software, sound isolation not so good, knocking/cracking sound from the door panels etc.

The 12.9 is standard. The 15" is optional. This looks like the smaller screen.

Owning this Black Edition will turn you into a professional auto detailer. A special edition special edition will turn the dealerships into raging lunatics with there ADMs.

When everything is black nothing is black.

I think the touch-screen in the cabin is obnoxious and intrusive. The least they could've done is make it retractable. R badging on the door looks a bit odd. No brembo 4-pots? Cant imagine what msrp will be on a Black Edition once this arrives stateside. Over 60k 😅🤦🏻 Im not entirely sold on it but I know a lot are based on the comments. Ill stick with my 7.5R

I have a 2011 GTI. I would love to buy a new one, but these things just aren't worth 50k. The interior keeps looking cheaper and cheaper. I really dont get it.

Ofc GTI, R line is not a real R so it doesn't have the same HP

Those lights don’t look much darker than normal 🤔 Mine are much darker with dark PPF.

Very nice video and very nice car. I will give you 2 advices. A. First of all the "light" of the camera is extreme bright, consider to low it B. It is incredibly distressing to see a car in a shop window and it is full of scratches and marks. A car featured in a video that is either new or used and has signs of this type should be polished in all areas first before any video shooting is done.

Well I don't like the seats or the blue trim (I prefer earth tones tan or even light gray. But I twill give them credit for the black brake calipers. Although I still wish they were Brembos, especially since it competes with Honda Civic R that does come with them. Hanging on to that piano black for dear life. The haptic are enough to say pass on the car. No pop out cup holders in the rear. No red light/reflectors on the lower doors

In ca we dont buy if offer free.vw is a car with so many mechanical problems.thats why you can see maybe one a day in a streets

I have no idea where you get that from, from the past between 2022-2024 GOLF R, all the specs number were the same. maybe just 1-2 sec quicker / slow different thats all. so if the new one have manual should also be like this. not just GOLF R , WRX-GR86-BRZ they all like this, shouldn't be any number different with the manual.

Nice exterior. Can't stand all the touch controls and that touchscreen just looks like an afterthought, all manufacturers doing it and it looks crap. I'll not be purchasing another golf until all the touch controls have gone.

I am not going to comment on the car as I have a MK8 but seriously you make a video with chill out music and show features such as a 12v socket in the boot an armrest that opens and a steering wheel that goes up and down. Get a grip of yourselves and start making good videos.

I own a Golf 8 GTI its my fifth one the 8 is by far the best: looks, interior, technology and performance
