I bought the LE with a convenience package about a week ago. I love the car. It has the same hybrid engine that all the other trims. The ride is quiet, secure, and the power is more than adequate. The ride with 16 inch tires is smooth but not floaty or vague. Unless you feel compelled to spend thousands more, the LE has the ride and features that you could want. It does not feel like an entry trim.

You don’t need t upgrade to an SE or XLE just to get a leather wrapped steering wheel. The Cold Weather package includes a leather wrapped, heated steering wheel. You can also buy Wheel Skins real leather steering wheel covers that are custom sized to fit and you can pay an upholstery shop to stitch it on for you if you can’t do it yourself neatly enough.

The advantage of the 16 inch wheels that is more noticeable than the ride quality difference, is that it gives you a few more MPGs. Rim thieves are also less likely to steal them because they are not flashy enough to draw attention. You are most likely to find your XSE or SE on blocks missing tires and wheels if you park outside on the street or in some apartment complex parking lot.

I had a 2013 Toyota Camry LE as a daily driver, and I loved it. It was great on gas, fun to drive, great on the freeway or in town driving. It's 16 inch tires are full of air and you'll notice a smother ride as compared to thin 19 or 20 inch tires which you'll feel every rut and pothole on the road and are more expensive to replace. The 16 inch tires are inexpensive to replace, and so are the light bulbs. This car is perfect for most people who go to and from work everyday, run errands, weekend trips this Camry is your little work hose. It's a nice looking car and I'd buy one if I didn't own a Toyota Tacoma right now. You can't beat it.

Hey i just want to clarify for your viewers that the front turn signals are NOT LED as you state on the LE and SE models. Not only that but they do NOT include the C - shaped DRL that the XLE and XSE have which is also LED and used for the turn signal as well. Also, the brake/stop lights are LED across all trims.

I wish these manufacturers would make a more attractive interior with leather and lay off all the technology for the mid models. Most buyers in my age bracket couldn’t care less about all these touchscreens, navigation, and other automated controls. I would 1,000 x rather have leather seats, power seat adjustment, and the comforts of the past luxury cars-minus all the electronics!! Why not have an older person’s model??? Forcing older buyers to pay more for what they’ve been used to is unjust.

  • @1997nick

Mostly because there's no money in that. Who would buy a car for more than $30k and expect what they offered 15+ years ago? You don't think they do the research when developing vehicles like this? That "old person" demographic is more in touch with modern features as they ever have been. If anything in this base model Camry is that frustrating to use, maybe you shouldn't be driving?
