2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT In Depth Look

Ойын-сауық

This is the all new 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. This is the first time the Turbo GT performance trim has been put in the Taycan. This is also in the second generation of the Porsche Taycan. It is claimed to be faster than its Tesla competitor, the Model S Plaid.
First, we should talk briefly about the power specs of this exotic EV race car. It has two big electric motors, one in the front, one at the back, producing a combined 1,092 hp in overboost during launch control. By this information, we can assume that without over boost, it would have around 10-100 less horsepower. 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) time is claimed to be 2.2 seconds, especially with a better launch thanks to the big amount of downforce you get from the big wing at the back of the car, and a lower and stiffer suspension than the normal Taycan.
Now we should talk about the exterior of the car. The original Taycan looked great but this car is an even bigger innovation in design and looks. To mention the features this car has for track use, let’s start with the big wing you get. As I said before, you get a big wing on the rear of the car, which was just a small automated spoiler in the original Taycan. That wing creates a lot of downforce on the rear, pushing the rear down for better acceleration, and increasing wind drag to control the speed of the car more. But that’s not it. You also get the Turbo GT designed wheels that you get in the Cayenne Turbo GT, carbon fibre dive planes in the front and back, more air vents for better cooling and air flow, more bulges on the car body, and more individual custom colors available for this car.
If we talk about interior styling, you could see in the video that not a lot has changed from the previous generation Taycan. Really, the only minor change is that the seats have changed for the Turbo GT model. You also get screens and infotainments that are exactly the same as the previous generation Taycan. Another minor change is that there is a different pumped in machine sound being emitted to the interior from the battery by speakers all around the car. There was pumped in audio sound in the last generation Taycan, but that had less rumble and more whine sound to it.
Pricing for the Taycan Turbo GT hasn’t been revealed yet, but since the previous generation Taycan Turbo S started at over $230,000 CAD (over $170,000 USD), we can estimate that the Turbo GT is going to start at around $250,000-260,000 CAD (around $180,000-190,000 CAD). This car was shown in this video as a prototype model for 2025, and has been revealed earlier in March 2024. The regular Taycan and Taycan Turbo/Turbo S models are going to come out later in 2024, with the Turbo GT model arriving afterwards. With that, we could expect the Turbo GT model to arrive in dealers in its finalized production specs by late 2024.
