This thing should be a mild hybrid and it should have a passenger massage seat, especially at this price point.
Regarding the Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Follow Assist you mentioned, it is actually a button on the steering wheel. The button with lanes and a steering wheel icon next to the smart cruise distance button is how to use it. Short press for Lane Follow Assist (centering) on or off, long press for Lane Keep Assist on and off.
Fantastic video Lyn!😸
What a well-done, and simply downright pleasant review. So many car reviews are really annoying, and this one is done so professionally and pleasantly, I actually watched the entire vid. Nice!
Lol. Why is you testing trunk head-room? 😊
It’s barely updated yet still looks like it came out yesterday. This car is gonna age well.
Can't wait to see the next generation of their cars
The comment on the seats. I don't have this car, but I'd imagine they will "break in" over time. My Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit had hard seats and it took about 3 months for them to break in, and now they are great!
"Smells better than your kid's feet" high praise indeed! Response to your next request to test drive a Genesis? "Two words & they're not 'kid's feet'". 😂 (love the humor)
IT LOOKS SO GOOOOOOD
The interior goes perfectly well with the lady. Georgeous!
I am not sure about its reliability, but darn, that's a stunning looking car

definitely no lexus level of reliability, but current Genesis is above average reliability wise for an entry luxury brand

I’m sure this car can last 10 years without any major issues. I have a 20 g90 with 76k miles. No issues and nowadays who even keep cars for over 15 years ?

Still has much better reliability and maintenance than the Germans for sure.

I actually went from Lexus to Genesis this month. It’s not a Lexus…but main it’s not a slouch either. I can’t complain.
Is the glare from HUD still present under certain light angle?
There is a direct way to shut off the lane keep assist with a long press to the button on the dashboard.
Interior looked better before restyling

atleast it's still more special and build better than most supposedly luxury brand
I think it is a great SUV. Too bad you have to go to the Hyundai dealer to get it serviced. I think that is a big turn-off for their target market.

That’s a minor problem Because the car matters more than the brand Besides you can have Genesis pick up your car and drop off a loaner.

There are a lot of standalone Genesis delearships plus you don’t even have to go to delearship. They can drop off a loaner and pick up ya car for service. Keep living in the pass.

Very very wrong. Genesis have their own stand alone concessions
I say in a GV70 and it wasn’t even the top model yet the interior felt so solid. genesis material usage is top notch, I would buy the GV80 in a heartbeat if it came in a higher performing flavour.
"The Smell Is On." is my new favourite phrase. Was that Emme Hall in the passenger seat?
The song they used for this vid is soo soothing
Awesome SUV
Does it come with wireless android auto ?
There is a one button shut off. On the steering wheel. 😊
Maybe next time go with the orange jumpsuit?
Also shout out to Lyn coming in with the drip 💧 🙏
Massage seat?
Almost G90 turf. colors are great.
Gas mileage, Type of gas and when will it be available?

Good review. To my ears, the music was annoying and slightly haunting
Better than gle😅😅😅
if only it was a hybrid or plug in!
How do they get away with no spare tire 🛞?

I hear you. Typical these days. Guess: Less weight = higher mileage and every 10th counts.
Track pad is silly.
Visible rear wiper is a fail.
16mpg for the 3.5T in the city is an absolute joke. It’s gorgeous though.
5 year resale value isn't as good as some of the competition. There has been issues with the GV70 (which I have) and the GV80

Hard disagree on the resale value vs competition, the German brands resale value take a nosedive once they’re closer to the end of warranty, I mean averaging around a 40-65% drop

I own a German car, bought it brand new in 2016, just under 100k, kept in a garage when not in use only 23k miles, body / interior perfect condition aside of a few curb scraps on the aluminum wheels , depreciation trade in value 29k….unless it’s a rare vintage car you don’t buy them for investments, you will find one of the worst but they can be a pleasure to own

Better check again. Nothing depreciates faster than the German’s offerings.

They said they will not change design drastically like Hyundai. It will be more timeless luxury design.
Lyn......coveralls? No, No, No, No!!
Your KZread reviews are always covered by Micah Muzio and Lyn Woodward. How about more diversity and include more of Mike Danger? He’s just as good as those two.

Stop with the diversity angle. This is getting very boring.
Don’t like it. Looks dated. Chrysler Crossfire vibes.
Not paying that kind of money for a glorified Hyundai

But this doesn’t use Hyundai fwd platforms If anything you should be wowed by the fact that Hyundai could do something like this. Not every Japanese brand even the biggest one is fortunate enough to have the kind of R&D and engineering Hyundai has

I’m done with anything Hyundai has to do with. We had a bad experience. And the customer service is terrible. Not taking responsibility for there product.. it’s sad because we like the way they look and drive until close to 100,000 miles.

Hyundai dealer service in the United States is generally poor. U.S. dealers need training and support to improve their professionalism and customer service to Korean levels. American-made Hyundai and Kia cars have more problems than Korean-made cars. Quality needs to be brought up to Korean levels.
