Very jealous!

Had a 2019 Sentinel v1 and a 2021 SJ Evo, both came with a Fox 36 Performance Elite. And both felt terrible on small bump. Ran 1 click of low speed compression and wide open high speed compression. Big hits would surprise me because both forks would eat it up but small bump rattled my bones at speed.

One thing for sure, they're not selling out fast here in the UK £1,439 They have been in stock since the end of May, with none sold as of yet in this shop. But I'm on the fence with the gold myself. I'm waiting for the black one to come in! Kashima is nice, not too much, but anything else gold always reminds me of cheap, tacky jewelry and plastic chrome that we all strip and change on our cars! Did I mention I hate the gold paint? Haha! Scooby wheels as well. When I got one, I stripped the gold off! No gold paint for me. I love fox have fox everything but the gold nope not selling but have a few pre orders in for the black and orange more black! I have the grip 2 orange 38s but badly wanting a black set! I don't get much discount but it's the black I want I'd plastic dip my own and change the Damper but not wanting it looking tacky I'd be aswell buying the gold

Am i the only one that prefers the new rock shox lineup than the new fox grip x and x2? Because in my eyes fox just made the already great grip2 damper more adjustible and thats it. Rock shox on the other hand made some cool new tech like the HBO.

its interesting what you said about increasing usable compression range. A 12stone (168lb or 76kg) find on my fox 36 grip 2 I end up having my fast compression wide open otherwise they feel harsh. i have thought of having a lighter tune, but dropping in a grip x2 damper, when they're avalable may be a better option. You said fox added some clicks of compression, how much do you weigh?

I'm 71kg and normally run wide open. I found between 4 and 5 clicks of high speed was the sweet spot for me in the end. Certainly a big improvement in that regard

Poop chute! Now I know why they couldn’t say where. All those trails are unsanctioned. BTW, just rode my new Zeb out there. Could not care less what Fox is doing. Ok, I cared enough to watch this. But hot damn if that zeb isn’t absolutely crushing it. Great to see all the manufactures upping their game. MTB is light years better than it was when I first started out.

Secret tip: The e tune Grip 2 forks feels amazing vs regular Grip 2. Get that.

There is no e-tune GripX2. This one doesn’t need it as the damping adjustment range is so wide
