Just two years after the launch of the latest generation BMW M2, the German automaker has given its smallest sports car a refresh for the 2025 model year. The 2025 BMW M2 brings a significant power boost, new color options, and a more modern infotainment system.
The headline change for the 2025 M2 is under the hood. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine now produces 473 hp, up 20 hp from the 2024 model. Torque for the manual transmission remains at 402 pound-feet, while the automatic version gets an additional 37 pound-feet to 443 pound-feet.
This power increase has a positive impact on acceleration performance. The 2025 M2 manual is claimed to be able to reach 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, a tenth of a second quicker than the previous model. The automatic version is slightly quicker, with a time of 3.9 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155 mph, but can be increased to 177 mph with the optional M Driver package.
