Yep! I’ve hated having the money pulled from my fortnightly paychecks all year - it feels good to free that money up next year ☺️

Loved seeing your 2024 reset, especially your goal setting. I feel that I need to do this now, so I might steal some of your categories haha!! I'm confused as to why you have such a large buffer in your target bills tracker (was it $250-odd)? And also why you feel you need to get ahead with the $1,880 when you get paid fortnightly anyway and you will get ahead a little with golden months? Personally I would put the $1,880 towards your wedding/elopement/honeymoon, or at least $1K, and then you're still already almost a month ahead on your bills. And then $200 of the target bills buffer towards it too. Regardless whatever you do, I know you're going to smash your goals, just like you did in 2023. I hope you enjoy going to see Taylor Swift too 💖xx

I’ve thought about it but the further I get ahead with my ‘target bills’ the more money I have to nominate to what I please at the end of the year. Doing it this way and paying off my bills in October meant I could save enough to fully fund my annual expenses this year and I enjoy being able to free up more of my fortnightly budget. By nominating more money to ‘target bills’ it tricks my brain into thinking that money doesn’t exist and helps reduce my spending! If I don’t save enough money in time for future, I will consider pulling from these categories 😌

Congratulations on a great 2023 for you! I did think you were going to take $1,000 from your target bill money to fully fund your 2024 emergency fund contribution as I didn’t see that on your paycheck budget sheet.
