2024 Yamaha YZ450FX YZ250X and YZ125X | Off Road Two and Four Stroke Intro
Спорт
Do the Racer X office guys actually ride? Jason Weigandt, Mitch Kendra and Matt Rice got to attend Yamaha's 2024 Cross Country bike intro in South Carolina, run in conjunction with the opening round of the Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series at Big Buck. The YZ450FX closed-course off-road racer is all-new this year, based on the YZ450F motocrosser which was revamped last year. We got to swing a leg over it, and also got to try the YZ250X and YZ125X two-strokes, which are of course plenty of fun. These are motocross bikes with engine and suspension tweaks and a few bolt on off-road parts to make them more competitive in the woods or in the desert. How are they? We took 'em out to see.

Right on, brother! I wish Feld would get their head out of their ass and put him in the booth full time.
There isn’t a better announcer in moto than Weege!
Demo a 250X.....you won't be disappointed, smoker not the 4 stroke.......no battery, no fuel pump, old school dirt bike. Bought one and love it.

Got one now KTM is for sale. Who wants fuel pump, fuel injection, 2 stroke oil tank, oil injection pump, air sensors, temp. sensor, thermostat, long warm up time, heavy wire harness, complicated ECU especially on 2 stroke? Not me anyway.
Very cool!! I'd like to try one of these on some single track in the mountains and see how they perform!
Cool to see ya on two wheels 🤓😎🤙
Dream job!
Good stuff..
Weege is living the dream!!!
Wedge will ride a 450 woods bike through the trees but he was scared to hike the Beehive in Maine 🙄🇺🇸😎🏁

Teeechnically the wife was worried
The problem isn't 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, it's trying to ride a MX bike on the trails... I truly think a well tuned 250 or 300 smoker is usually easier to ride on tight trails than a similar power and weight 4 stroke. Wider power range and the ability to lug without stalling (power twice as often) all just does it for me. Also, I never found the hit to be a big problem on anything other than a YZ85 or KX65 (they can feel on or off/ all or nothing) Might just be preference because my first bike was a '96 WR-250 (YZ 250 with a wide ratio and kick stand) that I bought when I was fourteen, perfect first dirt bike coming off a Blaster, so nobody can convince me that 4 strokes make better woods bikes. I even have a 450exc that is extremely capable, pretty light, and I really like it. 2 cycle enduro bikes are the way to go!
Not sure dude really knows what he’s talking about, the biggest difference between the f bikes and fx bikes is the 6 speed wide ratio transmission out of the wr. The rest is pretty similar to the moto version just slightly softer and detuned
Ummmmmm, for an off-road test you guys showed 90% moto. Now I'm a moto guy, but I have been racing hare scrambles the last couple of years. More woods footage would have been much appreciated.😕

lol, I thought the same thing.
I love Yamaha dirt bikes, but this looks like too much of a sponsored show.
