Whats up everyone!! Today I want to talk about a few minor things I don't like about my 2024 Yamaha MT07! From suspension and control issues, to electronics and user interface I have. a few minor issues I want totally about in todays vlog.
This issues are by no means major and to be honest they're very minor. This. motorcycle is $7-8k so we should expect perfection however I felt some of this complaints are worth speaking about.

I have a 36 gallon tank in my truck and it feels like I have to get gas once a year. Amazing feature. Range is arguably the most important attribute of any vehicle but it gets sacrificed for other stats, even for the F35. 3.7 gal tank sucks. You're right they should have done 5 and customers would have loved that.

I have the same bike and fully agree with your observations. I think Yamaha was trying to keep the price low by not adding a higher end suspension. There are some people that spent a $1500+ dropping a high end aftermarket suspension and claim it made a HUGE difference. I think Yamaha also didn't want to take away sales from the MT09 that has those upgrades. Bottom line is for price the MT07 is hard to beat. Great bike!

For me at least none of the things you described are really an issue, I can live with them without noticing, they really are not important. What I do think on the other hand this bike really needs is a slipper clutch and traction control. Not everyone needs the brutal power and the snatchy throttle of the bike. It would open it for a wider market and make it safer (you can always disengage TC).

Been riding the MT07 for about a year now. Biggest weak points: floaty, soft suspension and the on-off throttle is pretty bad. You feel exactly what your front tire is doing, yet it feels very numb. I started testing more bikes and noticed that almost every other bike got a better suspension and throttle feel. The throttle has a long way to open up, yet its jerky when opening it as soft as possible. Combine that with strong engine breaking and the springy suspension and this bike is basically just a stunt bike..

I am not a role model for chain maintenance lol I hate it more than anything 🤣🤣 I’d say anytime it looks like it needs it, or anytime you wash the bike or it looks dry then spray it down. However… I’ve ridden motorcycles for around 10 years. I’ve never not a single time needed to replace a chain or sprocket. So.. the way I think about it is time is money. Is it worth my time in the life of the bike to spend countless hours cleaning something that I’ll likely never need to replace? Or should I just say F it and just realize that I may have to replace it once because of poor maintenance? A few Hundo vs countless hours doing something I hate… I’ll do the bare minimum 🤣🤣

You want a bigger tank get a tracer there’s no sense buying a bike and moaning about it you knew what the bike was when you brought it

The point of this video was to point out minor issues I see with the bike. I’m not bashing it by any means. I doubt any bike out there is completely perfect for anyone unless it’s custom.

Every bike has its pros and cons, he is just pointing them out. If he buys a tracer a pro will be the bigger tank, but it will also have its cons. We watch to see what they all are.

Its an invalid argument, the tracer isn't just an MT-07 with a bigger tank its closer to the 09 and its essentially an ADV bike. Its like saying hey if you don't like pizza, go eat lasagna...
