2024 Welsh Crazy Golf Championship Round 1

I am at the Arnold Palmer course at Prestatyn where the Welsh Crazy Golf Championship is being held. It is a BMGA event so ranking points are available. Some of the top players in the UK are present, as well as some players who have never played a tournament before, and some locals as well. It was a well attended and fun day for everybody. Rounds 2 and 3 will follow in the next fortnight.

2 more to follow :) I was trying to be a bit like Peter Aliss rather than getting excitable and overdoing it, given a lot of the players will be watching...
Just a tad windy lol This looks like a fun tournament though.

Just a bit windy:) Some of the holes were a bit harder to ace than normal - it was blowing across the first 5 holes towards the sea. It's an annual event and always good fun.

A nondescript little course, seemingly quite ideal for a tournament. Good to see Henri there. Nice showing by the new kid. Sorry for John's poor luck, though. Good selection of background music, and good commentary by yourself. I look forward to future rounds.

There are a few of these Arnold Palmer courses dotted round our coasts, they are very traditional and test different skills - angles, slight gradients and ridges. I'm glad you like the music/commentary - I tried to keep the commentary down rather than go down the Twin Tours route, although that works very well for them. Henri and I are going to play a couple of days this week, weather dependent :)

No because I had to film the 3 rounds, but I'll probably have a go next year :)
