I clean exactly the same way Amy, it’s just much easier that way. Some days are lighter than others. Sometimes I do change up the days if I have something else going on like appointments. Weekend’s we like to keep that free for us.😊

Before having my son, I would deep clean every Friday night! I’m a night owl, so I would stay up late cleaning. Then throughout the week was just tidying up. My son is 16 months old and I’m STRUGGLING getting into a good routine of cleaning. I feel like all I can clean is our main living space, but then it gets messy right away with his toys. Working as a teacher and then coming home wanting to spend time with my son makes it hard to want to clean like I used to. I’m excited to use your checklist and get back into a fully clean home!

Rewatching because I just love having company while I do after dark chores.

Currently winging it but I've had several routines, assignments for chores, etc. Life just gets in the way!

I use my note pad on my phone with bullet points. My husband and I work full time and our kids are young adults (18 &20) Mondays I do the kitchen deep clean and main level floors. Tuesday after work and the gym I do my living room dust , pick up, vacuum Wednesday I have 2 gym classes after work so I don’t do any. Thursdays and Fridays I make sure anything else that needs to be done. Kids do the bathrooms and their bedrooms. Saturday and Sunday is laundry along with fun. Each week can look different but that’s what I strive to do

I clean every day, but I do a thorough clean every Monday! Figure after the wknd and the kids are home - do a big clean! I do upstairs whenever it needs it!

I decluttered my laundry room this weekend. My goal this year Is to go room by room until the entire house is decluttered! You are so motivating!!

I pretty much tidy my home Monday through Friday I will sweep, vacuum mop as needed, clean kitchen and bathrooms and Saturday I plan what I call "priority cleaning" for Sunday this will include laundry and deep cleaning the whole house to be set up for the new week which is not so bad as long as we keep up the maintenance throughout the week some Sundays are more hectic than others 😅. Hi Amy, I'm new here. (1st video) I do have a cleaning routine but I also work 13hrs a day as I'm a school bus driver for special needs kids. I change my routine depending on the kids and parents. They have alot on their plate and need help sometimes. I can quickly clean in little areas and do whole house clean on weekends. I wash bedding every week at the least; kids get sick a lot, so I keep my house very sanitized. I don't want to bring a virus home, and then all of us get it!😢 I go over counters,lightswitches,handles and TV remotes every day!Covid taught me alot!💜

I follow pretty closely, The Organized Mom Method. I have a hard time feeling fulfilled and accomplished with 'care tasks' (chores like laundry) so this allows me to stay focused without feeling like I have to do everything and can then focus on more fulfilling (to me) things.

This zone cleaning is similar to Flylady. Breaking down stuff works better for me as well. A little bit a day is easier than all weekend.

I live in an 892 square foot 1 bedroom + den apartment in Minneapolis. I do not have a set in stone weekly cleaning routine. I have a 2024 planner and each day I will choose a couple of tasks or a room to focus on and I write those in the to do list portion of the planner. Then I will check them off as I complete them. Our lease is up in mid-September and I am very hopeful of being able to move at that time, so I feel like doing daily tasks and staying on top of the cleaning will hopefully make it easier when it comes time to actually move. I will say that I went in and looked at the new checklists on your blog, but there are spaces that I do not have since I live in an apartment versus a house and I also do not order my groceries online. So there were items that really were not applicable to my current housing situation or tasks that I actually do.

Happy Sunday sweet friend. I have a cleaning checklist daily, weekly and monthly. However I tend to do a lot more daily than what’s on my daily list.

I just did my 3 kids’ clothes last wk! Friends take it for their kids so that makes me happy because it’s all in great condition! :) I just went through my closet! Didn’t really declutter but def organized it better! I did our laundry room a few months ago and that’s stayed organized !! So much better now!

I love to make a checklist, but I'm not super hard on myself to get it all done by a specific time, which I actually would like to change about myself. I need to be better at following a schedule. I don’t really have a set schedule with cleaning. I mean usually on either Saturday or Sunday I’ll do our laundry. I guess typically Saturday’s I do more of a deep clean on our house. But my husband does help with a lot of chores too so that is awesome! We both work all week and occasionally on the weekends so it’s nice that we look at it as team work. He cleans our cats 🐈 litter box most of the time which I love lol! And I use a huge lent roller/pet hair remover on our couches, works great!

Hey Amy, happy new year!😊 Regarding your question: as I work part-time (25h per week) I try to clean against the clock everyday. I set the timer for 60 Minutes and try to get as much done as possible and once a week I deep clean, which can take up to 2-3 hours. I have a 3 year old daughter and a dog and cat, so there are some days, where it doesn't go everything as planned...when life hits you, you know🙈 I try to keep it up, to have more time for the family and myself, so your cleaning motivation videos helps me a lot 👌🏼 Lovely Greetings from Germany, Sandra xx

it’s awesome to tackle a little every day. i do the same thing but for 30 mins. each room gets windows plants fan vacuum dusting mop. I save the deep cleaning and decluttering for a different time! im going to make a bigger effort this year to stay on top of the decluttering because we’ll have a lot of family in town later this year and i don’t want to overwhelm myself right before they all arrive. 🥴😂

Amy, Happy New Year to you and your family. I typically clean my downstairs weekly and do deep or less frequent cleaning monthly. I tidy up all downstairs areas daily. I have bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs but since they are used very rarely, I don’t do much cleaning upstairs.

I have moderate depression. I struggle with energy even though I am medicated. So my cleaning helps me with it but depression also sucks a lot of energy out of me. So my cleaning revolves around having the energy to do it. I try to clean as much as I can before I am depleted. Sometimes I can rest then restart cleaning or continue but not all days. So for me if it do what I can before I am just so exhausted so can sleep all day. I have a soon to be 2 year old ( 2 on Jan 21) so my house stays clean for about an hour or two before she has toys all over the floor again. Thankfully her mess is only in the living room at the moment.

Hey Amy! I wanted to tell you we purchased the red Christmas tote this year. We didn't really need it when you first bought it, but I thought it was cool. I also doubted all our ornaments would fit in it. But I finally realized that those multiple tubs could be downsized, so we bought the tote. Oh my goodness! All the ornaments fit! Plus so many other things! I was even able to downsize our gift bag/tissue paper tub. Two tubs now sit empty. Now we just have to put it all away. Great recommendation!

I always allocate three to fours to clean at home , generally I’ll clean an entire room , then move on to the next room and so forth / also do the laundry when needed , wash up , clean out the kittys litters etc. once that three to four time limit is completed I just pick up where I left off the next time………

Hey Amy, I always enjoy watching your videos! I can't wait to watch all your videos in 2024! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Eve. I love seeing the before & after shots of the cleanings all the time! Usually I wing my cleaning during the day depending on what needs done that day. I usually don't clean the whole house unless the entire family pitches in to get it all cleaned in a day. My mom actually decluttered all our Christmas decorations right after or before Christmas because we had a ton of stuff that we didn't want to use anymore. I know I need to go through my clothes once I change over the season clothes because my storage bin is full already.

Hello. I have the same issue except i also want to be able to exercise when i get home, and cook and relax, etc. 😂I have come up with a system that has been very helpful, but keep in mind i live in a very small 1940s bungalow and I’m starting from a completely declutterred and organized house. I set a timer and spend 20 minutes in one room each day. i spend an additional 10-ish mins on starting/folding/putting away one load of laundry. this isn’t foolproof but i stay flexible and it relieves most of the weekend cleaning. I started doing this system and really enjoyed it, then we decided to remodel 😅 so it went out the window for pretty much a year, so im just getting back into it!! Hope this helps or gives you some ideas. happy cleaning 🧼 🧹

I work full time outside of my home so it is hard to clean a lot through the week. We do a basic tidy daily and I clean the kitchen each night. The bathrooms get wiped down with a clorox wipe a few times a week (because of boys). I have to do most of my cleaning on the weekend. I tried a routine through the week but it just did not work for me after getting g hime late and a child with after school activities.

I have an electric scrubber like yours and just take off the pole for tighter areas like working in the shower. Not sure if yours is removable but if it is that should help!

My work schedule is 7 days on 7 days off so I don’t do anything but pick up and laundry on my weeks to work! Then I split everything up in 4 days when I’m off! I usually just rest on my first few days off because I work 3rd shift 😅

Hi Amy! My favorite soap scent by Mrs Meyers is Lilac and I noticed you were using the multipurpose spray of that scent. Does it smell as good as the soap? I know sometimes the sprays can smell a little different from the soap.

I just wing it. I’m older than you so I just do a little at a time so it may take a couple of days. It’s just me and my husband so we only live in about 3 rooms. They don’t get messed up but just need the basic dusting and vacuuming done each week.

Wow l wish l had just some of your energy. I can remember when l was in my twenties l could get down and dirty with the cleaning. But being in my seventies all it is a memory now. My problems have names Michael and Ryan (hubby and youngest son). I hate to sound like I'm complaining. Since I can't walk I use a power wheel chair to get around. I can still do laundry and get things folded to put away. I try to start in my kitchen and then go to the living room and the hall bathroom. I let my son take care of his room(he's 56 y.o.). He recently lost his wife of ten years and was living in his car. When l heard that l got him to come home. So in the kitchen its a daily task to put stuff away and do the dishes. Our dishwasher has seen better days. 4:48 4:48 Then I clean off the bar. Then I mop the floor. By that time its noon so I stop for lunch. After that on a daily bases I dust and gather up stuff to go to Hubbys work space and Ryans room. I do laundry on Sunday & Wednesday. Even tho Ryan does his own(thankfully). As for my bathroom it gets attrnded too as needed. So I am so happy to have found you on here. Thanks for asking.

Monday's and Tuesdays I clean most of the things I can, work Wednesday to Friday so it's maintenance those days. I take the weekend off to try and enjoy life lol😅

I still have my Christmas up

Hi! I usually clean the entire downstairs on Mondays. My kids are responsible for upstairs which I do have to keep a check on now and then. Sweeping, wiping down countertops, dishes and laundry are daily tasks for me. I ordered the long handled scrub wand. It only lasted about 3 times of use but I did love it.😢 I ordered a small handled version from Temu. It only lasted me 2 cleanings. I tried contacting the company on both but no response. Not sure what I'm doing wrong that mine didn't last. About how long do the batteries last in automatic trash cans? I'm interested in them.

I have a small house so I clean it all in one day unless I’m feeling tired. Then I break it up into two days.
