I have a SE fwd with 8 speed automatic and it has been great . Returns over 32, mpg and 16,800 price is much more acceptable. Good review.

I was on the fence of buying one of these until I drove it, not sure if they fixed the powertrain jerkiness when making right turns, sometimes it would bog other times give too much gas and chirp the tires. Ended up with a Rogue instead. It has a 1.5T just like this, but it manages on 87 octane to still get 37mpg EPA rating while making 225ftlbs, much more than the Taos. I also feel like the Taos has a lot more hard cheaper looking interior plastics than the Rogue. I would definitely recommend trying out a 24 Rogue SV before buying this.

The VW Taos would be more competitive with the no longer produced and smaller Nissan Rogue Sport. The Rogue will definitely feel more refined than the Taos because it competes in a different and higher class of vehicle. The Tiguan would be direct competition to the Rogue.

@@tydrives4846 Rogue Sport sucked IMO, personally I just look at what I can afford. The Rogue S I picked up for $29.4K, which was comparable to a Taos SE at $29.6K.

I had one and it was nothing but problems.

The Taos. Issues with brakes , canister, fuel lines, brakes again, radio, coolant and pesky check engine light all within 30k miles

@@powertools2375 that’s not what you want from a car that new. I bought a new Jetta in 2019 and got rid of it in less than a year. Before the first oil change he was due , I got a warning to add engine oil . Dealer tried to tell me it was topped off before it was sold. I think they lied to my face!!!! And same thing with before next oil change, low oil, I dont regret it.
