As the owner of a 2022 XC90 Recharge Extended Range, my power train is the same as your 2024 and my 16,000 miles has been trouble free and yielded an overall fuel economy of 47 mpg. Considering the performance I get when needed and the "range" anxiety I avoid, this is the ideal car for me. As to your comment about the firm ride, I have the air suspension and perhaps that is what you recall in your earlier review.

I bought one less than 2 weeks ago and I cant find the front anti collision option is there anything that activates it or its standard and is activated when needed. I went close to another car and nothing happened. I had an Audi q3 2020 before and its presense option was very useful. Security was the reason I bought it and now I am a bit worried.

Nice review thanks. I will receive the xc90 plus in late summer 2024 and I really look forward for it. What I do not understand is the issue with the missing armrests in the 2nd row. In my test car there was a 3rd seat in the middle, which you can just pull down and there is the armrest, including cup holders. It can also be used as a child’s seat with a raised base. Strange in your car. Might it be possible that in your country the car comes only as a 6 seat version for legal reasons…? I live in Germany and the xc90 comes as a 7 seater. Take care and keep going! 😊👍

I test drive compare the xC60 recharge and Lexus RX500h. The XC60 wins in terms of power, sturdy chassis, handling. Interior is also very good for the XC60 as well but smaller than the Lexus. I am expecting the same comparing the XC90 recharge and the Lexus TX. The things in doubt is the reliability, after sales services, resale value. But Volvo has bigger discount than Lexus. I talked about this from the Aus market.

A near perfect design, inside and out. Lexus may have reliability, but Volvo is in a different league… design language-wise. I cannot think of any Lexus C/SUV that has aged well. I think Volvo should ‘charge’ on with this model… and just figure out their questionable reliability issues. Because if I could afford one (and not a Range Rover - despite being worse!), a ‘leased’ Volvo would be at the top of my list… this or that sensationally smart looking estate car they offer (station wagon) - the V90, with that killer B&W audio upgrade. Thanks for the video. Cheers.

Really? I have a 2017 XC90 T6 R Design and the newer design features are quite apparent. The front and rear bumpers are different and the lack of exposed exhaust tips are a dead giveaway. The front grille has been reworked as well. The newer Volvo interiors are missing several features that were standard on 2016-2021 models. The center console drive mode selector, no rearview mirror directional compass, no optional carbon fiber trim, no optional nubuck suede seats, etc.

To me, the interior is timeless and looks way better than the new Lexus in the video. I've never understood the constant push to "update". I guess it's from people who lease for a few years and then want something new. For those who buy and keep the car for a while, the later model year cars are almost always the best ones to get because they have the bugs worked out. Never buy a first model year car (and even the first 2-3 years can have issues). This is true for any brand!

My '21 XC60 has 20" rims and transmits every bump and imperfection, triggering an array of squeaks and rattles.
