In Europe they still rock. Here the tight curves and rather narrow roads, and the rather high speed limits, favorises this kind of geometry. Also, large suv s are prefered by moms, for apparent extrasafety.

I bought a volvo V60 cross country B5p at 6 months old and 4000 miles on it in March 2021 its a beautiful car, fully loaded having been a demonstrator. The B5 engines fantastic its really the T5 engine just with the electric regeneration mild hybrid system, it’s a brilliant car, for a big station wagon it’s got a great performance! seamless gear changes with the 8 speed automatic gear box. beautifuly build and the fit and finish inside and out is just fantastic. Being a Volvo it has all the driver safety aids too. For me this cars better than any comparable Merc, bmw, or Audi. I tow a caravan and don’t even feel it on the back of the car. The infotainment system could be a bit better! but everything else is first class. I’ll always drive a volvo. Just a shame now in 2024 that they wont be selling any more new ones in the uk markets. Id rate the car 9 out of 10.

I was so close to getting one a couple of years ago, not the XC version, just the base. (which they now don't offer here.) The seats actually drove me away (seat back was a bit rigid for me), but it was not the "ultimate" trim, which was then called something else. My sister has a rare v90 European version, no XC, with the fully adjustable "ultimate" seats, and it's night and day difference. Drives like a dream, and so comfy. Having owned two Saab 9-5 wagons, I'd love to get back into a Swede, but they are ridiculously expensive, as are all Euro wagons. Huh, wonder why they're dying in the US?

Totally agree I love Volvo wagons. My view is that the xc70 which was discontinued in 2016 was a much nicer car. The extra room compared to the xc60 is a breath of fresh air. Toward the end of the run you could get the 4 cyl Drive E engine with the 8 speed trans in fwd only.

i have a new v60 cc, fully specced - b&w, nappa leather seats with massage function etc. with the B5 motor it drives much nicer and much more agile than my girlfriends x90 and the b&w are really good upgrade when compared to harmann kardon(though i don't know if it is worth the price, that is highly individual). i have a very limited experience with american and japan cars, virtually none with korean, and lot with european (mostly audi, mercedes, bmw and skoda). i still prefer volvo to any car that i have any experience with. usability, design, overall feel, also great for long rides.., but! after one year it still annoys me that i have a horrible sound or draft next to my drivers window. the opening for front trunk was missaligned probably in production and the plastic piece keeps coming off. sometimes some part of a car keeps trembling while listening to music and it annoys me a lot. and now it started to happen that my keyless locking does not work on first try... also, i dont like the way the cap for refill of the windshield washer fluid works when it is open... and the setting of AC is needlessly complicated by placement in entertainment system. i would still buy a volvo, but honestly i haven't enjoy that much joy out of a car for almost 100k eur (here in europe) as i expected. so, just my 2 cents

Would it be that hard to do? A lot of folks need the 2nd row for people, and therefore want to know the figure I am requesting. Please consider it.

Makes sense, CX7 was mainly a Ford product. With Mazda now independent aside from their relationship with Toyota, reliability of mechanicals has vastly improved. That said, while design is above par, fit and finish needs improvement. Like the sheet metal dimpling if you look at it funny. Owned and loved a few XC 70 T6’s tho not sure modern Volvo platforms share that fortune. Pretty sure from roughly 2016 -23, reliable has tanked.
