Compact MPVs like the Toyota Innova are among Toyota Motor Philippines' best-selling models. With its seven seats (eight in certain versions), elevated ride height, and diesel engine, the Innova has established itself as a reliable option in the MPV market. This explains why the Innova is always a top seller each year, which is evidence of its popularity among Filipino drivers. The measurements of the Innova 2.8 E Diesel AT are 1795 mm H x 1830 mm W x 4735 mm L.
In February 2016, four different versions of the second-generation Toyota Innova were released. On February 20, 2021, the Facelifted Innova was finally released in the Philippine market. It came in six different models: the base J, the mid-tier E (which comes with a manual or automatic transmission), the middle-tier G Diesel (which also comes with a manual or automatic transmission), and the top-tier V variant. The Innova's only engine choice is the reliable 2.8-liter diesel engine, as the gasoline option has already been dropped. Depending on the version, power statistics change.
Ventilated disc brakes up front and leading-trailing drum brakes in back provide stopping power for the Innova. The back of the MPV is equipped with a 4-link coil spring system, while the front rides on an independent coil spring double-wishbone suspension with stabilizers. Rack and Pinion Power steering. The older Hydraulic Power Steering system is still in use on the Innova, in contrast to its competitors, which use EPS.
Driving Performance
The MPV's performance is enhanced when the 2.8-liter turbo diesel is mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The riding quality has also increased because of the Innova's revised suspension. However, there is a warning that some people could find the new suspension setup to be too floaty and mushy. However, when compared to the previous model, the new suspension system is a noticeable improvement overall.
The Innova V and G models include a 7-inch touchscreen system with a 6-speaker audio system and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 6.75-inch screen on the E model, on the other hand, is marginally smaller but nonetheless offers the same features as the bigger infotainment system. In contrast to the rest of the range, the J version has fewer speakers and a more basic 2-DIN radio with many audio features like CD, AM, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and auxiliary. Finally, push-start ignition and automated temperature control are added to the V and G models of the Innova.
For the V and G versions, the MPV is equipped as standard with intermittent wipers with time adjusters and a mist function. Every model in the lineup has a basic rear wiper, however it lacks any intermittent features. Only sporadic and mist wipers are available for the E and J standard version.
The V-spec Innova has LED fog lights for fog and driving lamps, whereas the remainder of the lineup-aside from the J variant-has halogen fog lights. For the V and G versions, the Innova's outside door handles are grip-style handles with chrome embellishments. The E and J versions, however, are limited to color-keyed door handles alone.
17-inch alloy wheels and 215/55/R17 tires are seen on the top Innova model. 205/65/R16 alloy wheels, however, are fitted to the G to E versions. 205/65 tires and 16-inch steel wheels are fitted on the Innova's Base model J variant.
Safety
Airbags for the driver and passenger as well as side and curtain shield airbags are among the safety features of the Toyota Innova. The extra benefit of a knee airbag is also enjoyed by the driver. This MPV also has vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, and an emergency stop signal in addition to airbags. For all versions, including EBD, ABS is also included as standard equipment.
The Innova has an abundance of seatbelts, with 3-point seatbelts and ISOFIX tethers for child seats installed in the second row of seats. The same upfront treatment is provided to the driver and front passenger. All rear passengers in the third row are also equipped with 3-point seatbelts. As a passive safety feature, side impact beams are standard on all models. The MPV's G and V models include backup sensors. The car also has an immobilizer and a security system. Regretfully, these features are not standard on the remainder of the range.

Uu nga po boss for AT pero pag gusto pinaka base meron din yung Innova J MT. Ang advantage lang din sa E is naka mags na same mags sa G. depende pa din sa user’s preference pero engine wise same lang sila.

You have to pardon me I got mine last E variant AT I got it in Lucena City I believed the cost is almost 1.6 the down payment is 78,00.00 monthly is less than 32,00. I got it in red color and I can’t wait to drive it. They deliver it when I was out of the country and I will go home in a couple of days and I can’t wait to drive it around. My first choice is a Fortuner but too expensive at least the Innova is a little less pricey. I hope the info will help a little.
Toyota Philippines continued to sell their diesel Innova even the Toyota Innova Zenix was launched in 2023.

Hindi makatarungan price difference ng E sa XE 154k deperensya. tapos mags at foglights lang pinagkaiba Kung papalitan mo ang stock mags ng XE to stock mags ng E. wala pa atang 20k yan. tapos yung foglight wala pa cgurong 5k yan. loko2 din tong innova porke best seller nila innvova e. 😂

F ako lang mag decide I will go for G kasi all power na yung 4 windows meron na din light ambient sa loob 7 inch na din ang infotainment sa G compared to E na 6.75 inch lang. tapos meron na din back sensors ang G. f kaya naman sa budget sir go for the G variant. nasa description ko din ang mga features sa ibang variants po. may Toyota Vehicle Security System (TVSS) ang G--as in may alarm and immobilizer ang G-variant. Ang E tsaka XE variants wala. so kung gusto mo manakaw ang Innova mo, go for the E variant. If ayaw, go for the G. Kung paano inisip ng Toyota yun, ewan ko na---parang gina-gago lang ng Toyota ang madlang people with this nonsense, impossible naman nakalimutan nilang ilagay un as feature, sinadya talagang wag lagyan ng security system. May TVSS nga ang Avanza and Vios E variants, tapos ang E variant ng Innova wala.

Zenix is a whole different platform and chassis. Prehas ng chassis/TNGA ang Zenix sa Corolla Cross, albeit different engines. The Innova has the same chassis/TNGA as the Hilux and the Fortuner instead, kahit engine option the same.

It used to be the pricepoint of the XE. Then ginago ng Toyota ang madlang people, so they made this “XE” variant at 1.3+ million pesos, that way may reason sila na itaas ang price ng E variant (na walang TVSS alarm/immobilizer) to almost 1.6million; para the G because as expensive as the manual transmission Fortuner (approx 1.7million). Toyotang Ina.
