What you need more torque for a small ………..

Reliable, comfortable and affordable, what's not to like. You can buy a Corolla instead of a pickup and use the forty thousand dollar difference to pay for decades worth of gasoline.

The steel wheels with wheel covers are super practical. The LE model also has beefier sidewalls which appeal to me more than low profile tires found on higher trims. if you scrape the wheels, just buy a new hubcap for $30.

Great video. We just bought one yesterday. Was very overwelmed when the dealership explained all of this to us. Bought it for my daughter and so far she loves it.

Blind spot monitoring doesn't make sense to me. If I have my side view mirrors set up properly the way they are supposed to be used then I don't need blind spot monitoring as I have to be looking in the side view mirror anyway to see my monitoring light. Although so many people set up their side view mirrors to show them exactly what their rear view is showing them so in that case I guess it's beneficial to help the people that don't know how to properly use their mirrors.

Got one as a rental for a 13hr one way trip…..exceeded all expectations. Truly a comfortable ride. Lane assist and adaptive cruise made it trouble free on highway. Would be a serious contender if I was in the market. I averaged just about 40 mpg with mostly 80mph speeds. If you were looking for a sedan, look no further, great car.

Good video, I don't know anything about the car, but it's a nice Toyota I can clearly see, you forgot to mention the basic things like heat air conditioning ABS brakes ...I'm going to pick one up as a winter vehicle, only thing I'm really interested in is starting it with my cell phone.... everything else is just a nice reliable car.... surprisingly I believe they lowered the price 300 bucks for 2024 you can pick one up for 22,000 just pick a color...

Hello Chabbyrides, do you have a tutorial how to disable Toyota Corolla Lane Assist feature It's very annoying. Whenever I'm going around a curve my car will pull me to keep me straight it is scares me especially when it's raining. I absolutely hate it I feel that could cause an accident.

I have a 23 Corolla le with the 15:55 convenience package for 22600 otd.. also the cvt has a physical 1 st gear which will take most of the stress off the cvt. Mine was also built in Japan.... Nice review.

I have 2024 Corolla LE and hate the cvt. It hesitates and jerks when I accerate. Brought it back to dealer and they claim thats normal. They ran a diagnostic but said nothing is wrong thats just how cvt drive. Horribly disappointed.

​@Mannwhich if it bothers you just keep it in sport mode all the time. My Altimad cvt did the same thing so I just drive full time in sport mode, works great.

Good luck finding that impossible to find 0w8 oil that's x3-x4 cost. If that didn't add $500+ to actual cost of ownership it would be a buy. For now it's a hard wait to December Toyotathon... assuming oil becomes more available.

AutoZone, O'Reilly, and Napa carry Ow8 oil, which is a racing oil. I'm in the USA, and they use OW-20 synthetic oil.

Using 0W-16 is perfectly fine. There's no timing issues since the 2023 Corolla started out with 0W-16 and the exact same VVT-i and powertrain. They switched it to 0W-8 a few months later to add the 41 mpg rating. That's all it is so no biggie.

@madman1rug None of those stores usually "carry" in most locations... they can order it for you but still price is comparitively sky high. Also not very reassuring when O'Reilly only has one 1star review that amounts to "blew my engine, thanks I hate it." 😉

I got free lifetime oil changes and inspection from the dealer. 🤷‍♂️

Nice car, but I don't know why a brand new car that costs 23,500 would be something in reach for many as a first car.

Yeah I'll just take the bottom of the line model where there is less to go wrong and don't have to fight with the dealer about over priced BS options. And do your own TTL at the DMV to avoid even more BS dealer charges.

The dealer allowed you to test drive the car alone?? Must dealers in NJ I have dealt with do NOT allow possible customer to test drive alone!

Yes. None of the 14 dealers that allow me to film here in Central NJ and Eastern PA require someone in the car with me. It’s a nice sense of trust. Thanks for tuning in.

Considering this over a civic LX, it’s much cheaper and for a college student, that’s all I need 😂

If I were to buy a new car I would go with a new corolla 26k out the door after taxes drive it 10k miles per year for 20 years

I agree, it should be cheaper but when you consider how reliable and well built the Toyota is and how expensive most other vehicles are, it's about the best of the lot. There may be cheaper cars out there, but they won't last you for three hundred thousand miles like a Corolla will.
