I'm a true GM fan, Chevy Trax clearly looks better, and has more capabilities. But I have to admit, all Toyota cars are 👍(except the Mirai).

The Trax does look better (although that's an opinion) but the Trax is less powerful and FWD only

the Trax is more affordable. Toyota doesn't really care about affordability anymore. They are very good at making profit.

I am a Corolla Cross LE owner since JUL2022 with $2000 marked up. To be fair, please compare Apple to Apple, the XLE gasoline version FWD compare with Trax 2RS, Trax is about $4,500 more and bumper to bumper Trax is 3yr/36K miles while you only provide 2yrs/25k miles LOL.
