The Toyota Sequoia is a great SUV. One thing is add a long wheelbase version so it can also compete with the Chevrolet Suburban as well

They won’t. I’ve had a 2008 sequoia since 2012 and am a Toyota nut. The chief engineer said Toyota was going to cancel the sequoia after 2022. He convinced them not to. He said he didn’t make an XL version bc when he did surveys of owners who owned sequoias -customers wanted to keep the sequoia “garageable” which is total bs bc I’ve owned two sequoias, and never got a survey - nor have I talked to any sequoia owner whose gotten one (I’m in the social groups on fb). So…the new sequoia has less interior room than the 2024 4Runner…which is a joke.

A flat trunk floor and tv displays I would switch to Sequoia. Currently own 2022 Tahoe

Tbh, I lean Tahoe more. NA V8 is something undeniably.

Dear Toyota, please fix the engines in the Sequoia and Tundra. There is too many owners complaining about catastrophic engine failure for this to be ignored. Respectfully, A loyal Toyota fan.

I only heard them be in tundras and not in sequoias. And mostly are in the 22 year tundras. Are you sure there are complaints relating to sequoias (both 23 and 24 year models)? I didn’t see any

The sequoia has the same engine that is blowing?

Sad that the 2024 models still have engine failures…

@@showmickzaman3606 tons of the 24 tundras yep. Transmissions too. Haven’t seen enough sequoias sold to see a lot of issues. But they have many of the same as the tundra. Im a Toyota fanboy to a fault…but their new stuff is not doing well.

You don’t need to do videos like this..(to compare)Stay focused to make quality/reliable cars..I have 6 year old Highlander with sunroof failure (got flooded and Toyota refused to fix it)and I just bought 2024 Sequoia..Simply like it ..Not because of videos like this.(some features still missing) but keep going!✌🏻

I really like the Sequoia in Red with the Limited Package or White in the TRD Pkg. I haven't seen any in Maryland so far, but I have seen several near my sister's house in Watchung, NJ.

It doesn’t have room for 8 passengers. The third row is too small for even a 6 year old. The new sequoia has less cargo room than the 2024 4Runner. Total joke. That’s why I kept my 2008 sequoia. 221730 miles on it. No ttv6 trash. They still have massive engine failures since they came with the ttv6 also.

@@toyotausa no. I sat in a 2023 TRD pro sequoia. It was nothing compared to my second gen regarding cargo, comfort, and quality. The center arm rest was squeaking, the seat was flat, and the front bumper panel was loose. Don’t get me wrong I’m still Toyota all the way. Just gotta work the kinks out. I own a 2008 sequoia 5.7, 2022 rav4 XSE, and 2022 rav4 gas AWD XLE.

this just sounds like toyota fanboy stuff. For example, who cares if there is no hybrid when the diesel gets significantly better gas mileage for a proven motor and drivetrain without the cargo space loss the sequoia hybrids cost

Turbo 4cyl vs NA V8. I’ll take V8 everytime

Most (almost everyone) buy this type of SUV for the third row and cargo. Toyota with its billions of dollars couldn’t build Sequoia that was fit for purpose. In addition, Sequoia could have an edge with the overland crowd if the interior space was good and in proportion with the size of the SUV. Big L there too. Finally, no Four Wheel Auto makes the SUV even worse. This platform had so much potential, yet Toyota’s engineers messed up a big time.

I like toyota, but this video is dumb. If you actually pay attention to the video. They basically say that the toyota sequoia mostly beats the Tahoe if you buy different models or "packages" instead of beating Tahoe by default. But they make it obvious that you have to buy "packages" or better models to beat the toyota sequoia. They're both pretty equal if you get the upgrades necessary for both. Both brands of default vehicle are pretty much on par. Where one lacks the other brand is better in a different area or section.

You forgot to mention that the Toyota will be on the road while the Chevy is in the repair shop.

I heard engines are failing on the new sequoias (and tundras) so they will end up in repair too

I love Toyota, but i would not choose the SEQ (i would get the older gen) over the Tahoe, reasons: 1. Cargo Space is horrible (less usable than the Grand highlander's), due to adding of a rear axle and taking a step backwards. 2. Perhaps less comfy than the Tahoe due to above reason. 3. Even though a hybrid, MPGs aren't good enough. ( i would rather get the iforce good ole V8) 4. Built quality is perhaps like that of the new tundra, horrible.

Sequoia sucks im space department inside

3rd row of seats useless, only for kids. No cargo space and it can be flat due to a poor interior design, because the batteries. Not complete sunroof.
