It was nice of them to have the little highlight from images of all of the eligible shows this season. It gives them a moment of recognition whether or not they are nominated.

Kara Young being the First African American Nominated 3X back to back is Iconic and a Milestone for the culture

Jeremy Jordan, Eva Noblezada, Sam Pauly, Joy Woods, and all of Notebook, Gatsby, and How to Dance in Ohio. You really deserve nominations

Yes it was open on time. They did receive 1 nomination for best costume design for a musical - Linda Cho.

Rachel McAdams now being both an Oscar and Tony nominee is kind of iconic. I really hope she wins.

Some surprise shut-outs -- Harmony was a great show, but closed early. The Wiz came in late, but had a lot of buzz from their pre-Broadway tour. Some categories hit it right on the head like Leading Actor/Actress in a Musical -- all great; this'll be a tough fight. Featured Actor in a Musical -- six! Featured Actress in a Musical -- SEVEN! So thrilled Illinoise made it in at the very end of the season, and still came away with some key awards (would've loved if they received some noms for the actors as they truly did an amazing job dancing their hearts out in a very moving work of art.

Numerous shows opened the last couple of weeks of eligibility in one of the most packed seasons Broadway's ever had. It doesn't mean they were the top pick of the nominators (~40), just made the cut. The work now begins to clinch the Tony voters (~800).
