I’d throw in “Let it Burn” from Paradise Square! The singer was so powerful and the song can be a mighty anthem.

I remember not knowing a thing about Fun Home, but ever since seeing that Tony performance I knew I had to see it one day! & I surprisingly saw it on Broadway for a class trip & it was so amazing! So emotional! I even cried to the young Alison at the time at the stage door (mainly cuz of jet lag haha!)! Such an emotional show AND book it’s based on! 🥹🙏

"We'll Take a Glass Together" should've been number one, not an honorable mention, if you're talking spectacular numbers that people never talk about. Michael Jeter makes his rubber-bandi-ness and pure joy look so effortless that people don't realize until they watch the number performed by a normal human being how spectacular he was.

Agree - Michael Jeter made an incredibly difficult choreography look absolutely effortless. I go back to that performance frequently just to see pure joy. His body was moving like Gumby!

Being Alive is one of the most over-done numbers and very few people can really do it justice. But Raoul Esparza blew it away.

This is exactly the reason why Neil Patrick Harris is massively overrated to me, he is just a "loved celebrity" that can sing in tune but he is NOT a musical theatre performer.

Tonya Pinkins's performance of Lot's Wife is absolutely breathtaking and I wish that Caroline or Change would had been nominated a year later and she could had won the Tony for best actress in a leading role in an musical for Caroline or Change.

You know these MsMojo lists are cobbled together by people who are not really fans when they say Mrs Lovett is singing to Sweeney Todd. She is SUPPOSED to be but she obviously isn't in this version. And even including "We'll Take A Drink Together" in this list as an honorable mention is ludicrous. Any fan knows it is nowhere near underappreciated - it is legendary.

I can tell you a true theater fan did not make this list. Every single one of these is an artistic smash that we hold dear. And most of the shows in question won best musical or revival and the star being celebrated in each almost all got a Tony as well.

This list, again, is so dumb. “I’m Here” has 2.1 million views and is quite literally what made the general Broadway audience take note of Cynthia. Also, Ring of Kings is talked about all the time because it’s what kept Fun Home open for as long as it was. The only one on this list that is truly under appreciated is Urinetown. I beg Ms Mojo to literally be so for real for once. This little white girl seems to be such a Broadway girlie and yet….she literally is so unserious with these videos. Also half of these were in your “best Tony performance of each year” so you, Ms Mojo, have appreciated these performances not long ago. The only thing more embarrassing than this video is the fact I’m so torn up over it tbh.

There are usually reasons why a channel like MsMojo or WatchMojo presents clips the way they do. These are my guesses for some of the reasons: *For people new to musical theater, some context or info is usually needed regarding performance clips. How else can viewers understand what they are seeing? *Entire performance clips probably can't be shown for possible copyright reasons. *If they show the top 10 or 20 performances in their entirety it would create too long a video. *The channel likely tries to strike a balance between showing a clip and providing information, and it's not going to please everyone. But we are so fortunate to have popular channels that are willing to look at the past and present excellence in the performing arts, even if the presentation isn't perfect. This brings more awareness and hopefully inspires more participants.
