I really like the new color & sailboat painting. On the sofa table, I'd luv to see the candle holders removed & the large vase slid over to the right - I think it would balance the lamp/coral. And remove the vases on each side of the painting and maybe have 2 candle holders on each side. Just ideas! The room has a nice quiet calm feel about it 🤍

Good morning Becca. I love the wall color. I’ve been contemplating painting our halls a lighter color and this just might be it. The room looks beautiful and you inspire me to change some of my decor. I found some pretty patriotic plates at Kirkland so I have already decorated my dining room for July 4th. Love it. Told you before I live in Faith,NC and we celebrate Independence Day the whole week before the 4th. If the weather cooperates I may go ahead and decorate my front porch this weekend. Oh wow! I never know what to expect you always surprise! I think the color is definitely calming and I love it with your white. The rug is gorgeous❤ I could go on and on about each individual piece…the print, candlestick, that vase…everything is just stunning and goes to the rooms feel so beautifully. I think your new paint color is really pretty. I love that you do the painting yourself...shows us we could do it! All of your decor and the style of it is beautiful. The room is very nice, so pulled together. I like the lighter color on the walls, I feel that it opens up the space a bit more. The only thing I would change is the pillows. I would use the striped side as I feel it is more coastal, but the plaid is nice too. As I have said it before, I love your house and your decorating style. Have a great weekend!

Such a pretty and calming room! I love the new paint, changes are fun. My living room has been painted a very soft, kiwi like green for about the last 8 years. I have loved it, but it really limits the colors I can use in there. So, I have chosen Benjamin Moore's "Barely Beige" to re-paint this fall. It is very similar you your color! Have a great week!! 😊

Loving the new light beige walls. I’ve told you before, I just had my walls in the kitchen , 1/2, bath and family room painted Mocha Light by Behr. I love the light taupes against the white doors, trim and accents. It is very calming. I’m going to have the foyer and hall painted that color next year. My living room is a room all by itself to the left of the foyer. That room is my favorite, and it’s been “Chocolate Mousse” for years, by Benjamin Moore. Love it! It’s like a coffee with cream and has a pink undertone, which goes well with my pink accents for spring/ summer. I love the greens also. Thats why I love your home so much, and enjoy watching you create your magic. Your room turned out beautiful. Question! Im looking for a light weight throw for my bedroom to take a nap with. What is your favorite for summer?

Thank you so much, Brooke! These are retired Ektorp pieces from IKEA, but if you have an IKEA nearby, go check out their Uppland pieces, which are very similar. I also linked similar ones, as well, in the video description.

I adore your style. Your rooms are stunning. I get your comfort with mirroring and having things equal. However, that is NOT symmetry. Symmetry does not mean identical. It simply means balanced and harmonious, but not necessarily mirror image The lamp on one side with candle holders on the other are balanced and harmonious... the ARE SYMMETRIC.
