Great info. I have an RS on order and likely will do almost no self-maintenance and repairs but come from a generation who did and it’s good to know the basics and configuration of the engine and major components. I’ll say that my bought new ‘02 WRX wagon has only had basic maintenance and runs like a champ. Literally only a couple of things have broke over the 22 years of ownership. #2 fan speed, one of the two electric cooling fans and digital clock. Had a TSB clutch replacement at 35k miles. And I have not had one original light bulb fail in the entire car. I’m hopping this new 6th generation Impreza is similarly fun to drive, practical and dependable.
