    I made a small error in this video: Pre-stretched strings do not have lower elasticity. They have greater elasticity. Elasticity is defined as a string's ability to return to its original shape. Pre-stretching increases this proficiency. The correct thing to say is that pre-stretched have reduced plasticity. This means they feel stiffer and they feel less elastic-bandy, which is a synonym for soft and powerful. Small correction but I think it's important to be diligent, yet forgiving, with semantics.

    Starting to groove more and more with the new speed mp. Been surprisingly playing my best tennis with it even though it was actually an impulse purchase. Again had to add a lot of weight on the handle to get the swing just right. Keeping the racquet at 325 sw for me was perfect as it allowed me to whip without it being clubby. Gonna swap over to Tour Sniper on this very soon and maybe upping the tension. Been using razor soft on it which is nice but i do agree it needs stiffer strings. Overall its a surprise for me how much i actually liked the new speed

    very interesting review! would you say it plays similarly with the whiteout 305 16x19? what would be the main improvements over the WO? Thanks!

  • @TennCom

    @TennCom

    5 ай бұрын

    I would say that it does not because the feel is so different. The Whiteouts are boards. There's nothing interesting about how the flex, whereas with the Speed, there's a lot of flex. The Whiteouts feel a lot more solid, more like player's sticks. The Speed feels like a tweener racquet geared towards a player. There's a bit of a hollow, slightly mushy feel but its really easy to hit heavy penetrating balls. I think aggressive play was more consistent with the Speed since the pattern on the Whiteout is so open, but spin is better on the Whiteout. Forgiveness and comfort are better with the Speed too. Whiteout wins maneuverability. The Speed is probably "better" for most players at most levels, but the feel could be a deal breaker because its so different. Honestly, the feel on the Speed is almost a deal breaker for me as it is.

    How would you compare this to the gravity pro ? Im looking to upgrade my Youtek IG Speed MP and Im not sure which one of the 2 to go for - Gravity pro has the same mold but this one would be the same model in the newer series

  • @TennCom

    @TennCom

    5 ай бұрын

    The Gravity Pro feels less connected but more solid. Everything about the Pro feels more "Pro." Hits very heavy, insanely stable, GOATed for flat shots, still sufficient spin for strong players. The Speed MP can hit a heavy ball too, but it relies way more on your high racquet head speed for its performance. Spin potential is much better with the Speed. I think if you are under NTRP 4.5ish, the Speed is better. If you are over that and have a more extreme grip or rely on whippiness on your forehand, the Speed MP is better. If you are physically quite strong, hit flatter or use your big two handed backhand as a weapon, the Gravity Pro is better.

  • @TennCom

    I'd say that yes its mostly all in the swingweight. The last MP I hit had a high SW too, I didn't measure it, but it felt heavy. Comparing those two, I don't think that the new one is much more stable, if at all. I think you'd have to hit them back-to-back to notice.

Currently using Babolat Touch VS (mains) and RPM Blast 125 (crosses) both at 23 kg (51 lbs), but found that my 2024 Speed MP has wayyy too much power (with high launch angle) at the cost of control now

  • @TennCom

    i really liked Lynx Tour in this stick, I think it makes sense to go for something firmer and most likely full poly. Maybe try Lynx Tour at 23kg and see if you feel like there's less launchiness. In general its going to be on the higher side due to the open string pattern.

    I really like your videos, as a videographer fellow I really love the quality ❤ That said, i'm really strugling with the rad pro (it was an impulse to buy it). Now I feel it too heavy, the balls are getting too short (in the court tho), and when i try to aply more power i tend to fail the sweetspot. I was thinking on the rad mp auxetic and speed mp 2022. I loved the control but i want a whippier effect and more power (help) from the racket. What would you recommend? Also yonex has been growing in me but idk, i love the feel of head rackets and I read that yonex has more muted feel

  • @TennCom

    @TennCom

    5 ай бұрын

    I think go for the Extreme Tour. Its really easy to adjust the angle of the racquet face during the swing and modulate the spin/arc over the net. Sweetspot is more generous than the Radical Pro and its easy to get depth with it compared to the Radical MP. Is Speed MP is fine, but it doesn't standout or feel special like the Radicals or Extreme Tour.

    @@TennCom i really appreciate your answer 🌹 I also have the extreme tour but i find it quite unstable when o play with Hard hitting opponents, that's why I though of rad mp for more controlled returns. I really like the swingweight of the ET, is the rad mp swingweight similar? (323 rad mp vs 317 ET) I guess I Will have to put more weight on the ET. What would you prefer? Modified ET or the rad? Considering you played both? Thank you so much for your content

  • @TennCom

    @TennCom

    5 ай бұрын

    @@trskjora1316 I like both. I prefer my 360+ ET. It has a much more predictable stringbed than the Auxetic version. The Rad MP is a precision instrument but I struggle to get the spin I need for my game which is why I'm using the Whiteout 18x20 now. I wouldn't read too much into 317 vs 323 because those are just averages and the racquets you end up trying could be completely different.

    My personal preference, if I had to switch, would prob be Extreme Tour > Boom Pro > Speed MP > Extreme MP, but I haven't hit any of these back to back since we compared the new Extreme over a year ago. If I had to play them stock, we could switch the order to Boom Pro > Speed MP > Extreme MP > Extreme Tour just because the Boom Pro doesn't have any obvious weakness in stock form for my game.

    Hey John! Just so you know, I recognize your username every time you comment, so you don't have to introduce yourself every time if you don't want to. The Speed MP plays fast for 330SW. It swings a lot faster than the Extreme MP when I had it around 330SW. If I remember, the Extreme MP was in your bag for a time. I think it would be manageable for your 1HBH, but I haven't served with it, so I'm not sure if it would give you extra juice or just feel cumbersome. I think its worth looking into, but be weary, another commenter told me their demo has a 340SW so its possible that QC is pretty poor with this gen.

    Thanks for watching! I am actually (half) Korean. My family moved here in the late 1960s. RA is a decent indicator of comfort, but I think if you are going to use any number as a guide, vibration frequency is more useful. If the goal is to reduce the impact shock, vibration frequency tells us how many vibrations are travelling through the racquet after ball contact. Lower RA and higher weights means less vibration. You'll see that Clashes have very low VF's: twu.tennis-warehouse.com/cgi-bin/vibfrequency.cgi but the Prince ATS 100 is also a good candidate. Having tried the Nova, the comfort is good, but I'm not sure I'd go that route myself if I was recovering from an arm issue, especially something so close to the hand like the tfcc.

Static weight looks a bit low to be hitting 330 SW without being super head heavy, but just curious if a lot of them are gonna be at 330 SW. 2. U think confidential would pair well with this? • @TennCom

    @TennCom

    Yeah I think Confidential would be great. Would be in my top 5 choice for this stick. Swingweight does not mean the balance would be necessarily head heavy. It might feel head heavy due to the weight, but if the racquet's weight distribution is correctly polarized, you can easily end up with a headlight, high swingweight racquet. That said, another commenter told me his demo was 340SW so thing might end up being pretty demanding for a lot of players.

    They seem more similar on paper than they are in practice. The new Speed reminds me more of the older APDs. is this an arm friendly racket? I have had issues with the stiffness of the aero 100 2023 causing regular arm pain, Something I only got very occasionally with my old yonex vcore. I also find it awkward to swing... it doesn't feel smooth. The stiffness rating on the mp is much lower than the aero so take it its ok?

    I like the ‘I feel like I can play like Jannik Sinner’ portion of the review! 😂 … Head is going to reward you for regional sales at the end of the year!

    No I think the new Diadem Nova would be a lot better for the 1HBH if you want a medium beam width and 100 square inches.

    Personally, I found the jump in the '2024 speed mp' swing weight (319 to 330) really ruined the racquet. It was not as speedy or generated as much spin compared to the previous model and it's really a disappointment. However, the feeling of the 2024 model was better with exceptionally great vibration canceling. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only part where it improves from the previous generation. Not to mention the paint job...

    That you're giving stringing recommendations tailored to the character of the frame you're reviewing is too forward thinking. Stop being so imaginative. We tennis players aren't this sophisticated. Want club. Swing club.
