I love how Austin Hill gave little to no room to Shane to make the turn but then acted surprise Shane doored him. Shane was literally in the dirt. Power to SVG for not taking Austin Hill’s crap after COTA. Thank you for sharing the video! 😊

SVG was probably one of the hardest racers in Supercars. He’s not going to take much shit. Add to that he will be smart about where he positions his car in these circumstances and I think the odds will generally be stacked in his favour…

Shane arrived

After watching SVG here at home for so many years, he just has that ability that all special road course drivers have, to be able to turn on extra speed whenever its required and other drivers find it hard to deal with. I cant wait for him to find that speed on ovals, its only a matter of time. When he was behind Hill, he was just playing with him, closing the gap when he felt like it. A MotoGP reporter Michael Scott famously said of Valentino Rossi "don't be fooled by the smiling face, deep down he is an utterly ruthless killer". SVG falls into the same category Well done SVG, Oz is proud of you mate

Hard clean racing from SVG on that pass. The other guy made a mistake, SVG capitalised on it. Stop crying foul when you’re out driven. You’d last not a minute driving Bathurst. Hill clearly turned back up into SVG on the corner entry, deserves everything he gets, rubins racing but then theres dirty drivers.

Bro this a superb upload. Love the sound and don't even mind the ads but this an epic battle between them. I'm sure Shane drops to 2 gear into turn 11. Sound is phenomenal Looked like Hill turned into the apex late and ran into Shane on turn 2. At 21:33 IMO anyway

nah that was all Shane's fault - but it's allowed so who cares?

Notice Shane did the same overtake on AJ to take second? He was about the same distance up on him, banged doors, carried on. AJ didn't try to pinch Shane up so didn't get bounced out, like Hill did. Hill defended too hard against someone who isn't intimidated by him in the slightest.

And then he gapped AJ by 2 seconds in just one lap, Shane also caught up to Hill but then backed off to cool off the slippery stuff off before he resumed his assault on him like he did every time in Supercars when running behind the leader

It wasn't quite as clean as I'd hoped it be. You can see SVGs front snap toward Hill mid corner. That didn't happen when he passed AJ. As they say, 8 tires corner better than 4. He went in a little too hot. Even so, Hill shouldn't have taken that corner entry that wide knowing full well what was coming. Park the bus and pray he doesn't try to drive through you if you're Hill in that scenario.

Shane is very smooth on the loud pedal , which saves fuel and tyres and as seen before has a fast car at the end !!

He drive so smooth and back isn’t lose coming out the turns

Notice how Shane backed off after a few laps behind Hill to not only cool off his tyres, get the slippery stuff off, and not burn up his stuff at the same time but to also examine where Hill was strong at and weak at in braking zones at this track? Once Shane got the information he needed, he resumed his assault on Hill and unfortunately for the latter it was basically the end. The final yellow only served to just accelerate the inevitable

A couple things, and I'm sure I'm alone on this. First and foremost, I rooted for SVG and I'm glad he got the win. Austin Hill surprised me with how well he did against the competition. If SVG wasn't there, he was the clear winner. Both SVG and Hill messed up entering the corner. Hill cut SVG off and SVG overdrove the corner. You can hear his tires sliding as he slammed on the breaks. I think no matter what, SVG was going to win this race, but I would of loved to see him pass Hill a little bit cleaner then that. I am aware of the COTA race and I fully understand why he had a "no care" attitude towards Hill and I understand he took the opportunity that was presented in front of him, but would of loved to see a pass in 7 or 11 and more of a battle. But still glad to see the win and I cant wait til the next road course.

Xfinity may have found a cash cow for their product ...... SVG has become the US Nascar Xfinity " go 2 " pill ... the data shows a huge upswing in viewer ship because of the SVG interest. Is " Cup " over subscribed ? Past its use by date ? Will Nascar Charter problems get sorted out ? Should the France family have a charter ? So many questions going forward ... the only certainty is that SVG is still learning & progressing @ a rapid rate.

Austin Hill is a bad sport and my most disliked driver in NASCAR so far. He plays dirty , really dirty, but then cries foul when taken out with his own filthy playbook. SVG is a clean and fair racer as it is how it's done in Australia. Hill can't win playing fair 😂

That was a dumb rookie mistake to give Shane that much room. You need to show Shane some more respect Mr Hill.
