2024 Yamaha 250 SHO: $23k 2024 Skeeter hull ~$15k Power poles $5k Fish Finders ~$4.5k Trailer- made in house by skeeter biggest cost to them is the rims and coating probably costs ~$1,5k per trailer Bottom line it’s a $50k boat priced up for manufacturing profits and seller profits and to offset inflation costs. I know everyone needs to make money etc but unreal pricing on top of a nation avg 8% apr(that’s the lowest) for boat loans.

It’s not the price it’s the damn interest rates. I got no problem spending 100k on a boat but not at 9%

I hear you, but, believe it or not, interest rates are relatively low right now. Sounds crazy I know, but, true. We were spoiled w/ the 2-6% rates for so long that everyone has gotten use to them. I purchased my first home in 1987 and the rate was 10%. The average car loan rate was 10% or more. So 9% is actually pretty good. I know it sounds crazy.

Definitely agree on quality control My 2022 bought new /ordered boat is still coming up with issues. Missing parts Things not wired or hooked up at factory A mess basically Disappointed to say the least. Had 2001 zx 225 I’ve had more problems with this new boat in a year and a half than I had with the other one and 21 years

Cheaper in TX

I catch a crap load of fish from a ten thousand dollar aluminum boat with a 40 hp Mercury with no electronics or fish finder. Just a bow mounted hand controlled trolling motor. You see , my generation know where the fish are and how to get them to bite. It's called time on the water and instinct/ experience. I have a small tackle box with about fifteen different baits. I guess you young guns cut your teeth on expensive technology ans apparently have more money than you need or you buy to show off what you have. 100,000 dollars for a fricken piece of floating fiberglass is ludicrous!
