It definitely is not a necessity to have any DC reels but i really prefer them over traditional braking systems.

Good question - it does not have the clicking drag like the exsence DC.

Cannot confirm BUT, if you watch my final review video, i speak more in-depth about some of the issues with JDM ones.

kinda wish it was a 100+ size instead of the 70. Just mine opinion tho. Keep up the great review!!

It would have been perfect , I can empty my slx mgl spool with a crankbait.

The main question: this reel or CC 101DC? I've broken my brain trying to make a choice.

Get the metanium it's cheaper, and the dc is more updated, so u get more

@boomych1974 it's not made for that but I'm pretty sure it can as the slx dc xt can cast that weight. Only problem is u are gonna have to fill your spool like half way.

@boomych1974 according to shimanos website it does not have a drag clicker. The cc dc 100 has a clicker though

I like the new daiwa steez sv tw 100 XH better than the metanuim dc it even looks better 👀

When taking off the side plate to get to the spool, it does not stay on. It removes completely from the reel. However, you typically won't need to access the inside of the side plate as all adjustments are external now.

Absolutely and it’s not close. The ergonomics, weight and performance alone, are way better than the SLX. Now don’t get me wrong, the slx dc xt is a great reel but compared the the met dc, there’s a big difference.

Nope ... the width dimension is different; the new 2024 version the spool is bit smaller in size compares to the previous gen .... so good luck with that, i know this because i read about it before i order mine, but anyway you don't have to believe

Way different dimensions unfortunately between the two - this reel is completely redesigned when it comes to the spool and braking system.

I wonder how many % off does Omnia give you to pull the trigger 😂

id complain if i had like burs and paint issues on a reel thats made in japan .. get a new one shipped or refund some money back, thats what i did with my expride rod shimano they gave me some money back but thier rods made in china now that model

Thanks for watching! I think you have the dates confused though. The Zillion video was back from 2021. The Metanium DC is from this year. To clarify - the Metanium DC is one of the best reels right now, hands down.
