We do. But not very often. The mechanics like the long hoods for ease of maintenance.

oh I'm sure that extra space would be nice @@RockyMountainPeterbilts I've just never seen one didn't even know they existed till you brought it up in one of your old videos i just figured a truck with a Paccar drive train and a fleet spec would have the short hood to reduce weight have you ever made a video on a short hood 567 or 579
