That's what people say, but right now they all pretty even. As far as #1's SC just the best team. NC can beat any 8 seed in the tournament. Texas was in a dog fight with Alabama.

Do appreciate the acknowledgment of what Texas has overcome to get the #1 seed but I do think they and the Big 12 are underrated nationally. W Virginia pushed Iowa and Iowa St pushed Stanford because they are very good teams. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Baylor beat USC and know that Texas defense is elite! 💪🏾😎🤘🏽

WVU vs IA was a football game masquerading as a basketball game. Stuhlke literally got pulled down multiple times in the game - on a pro wrestling arm lock- it was crazy how physical the officials let WVU get. Good for them its a formula but the refs should be aware going forward and make the calls particularly in the post. CU going to be tough though

Your joking right, the country saw how WV was cheated, 30 FTs to 5 for in the game and in the last 2 min , Iowa shoots 14 FTs to WV 0, a blind man can see the fix in that, i had no dog in the race, but do like to see a real basketball game instead of a referee exploted plot, i hear the refs are under NCAA ivestigation as should be, they may never referee another game.

@@dondee5439 Yes , i watched the program of ESPN Womens Analyst , Debbie Antonelli and sports Center Anchor talk about it, of course the outcome of the game can not be changed, but after the Womens March madness is completed, the refs in the Iowa / WVU, game would be an investigation, do to the irregular fouls called against WV, especially in the last 2 minutes of the game, when it was tied up, and Iowa shot 14 FTs to WV, 0.

Please !!! Stuhlke hooked pinned and pulled the wv player down Iowa fans NEVER seem to think that they foul.

I feel too teams should play at the underdogs house in the first two rounds that would make it more interested because them underdogs would be hype on their own court and see if the top teams can handle that pressure because pressure bust pipes

On Iowa: first, it's a team that learns from problem games; and two, we gotta see if Molly Davis is back (they really missed her calm ball handling v WV).

Well, imo, a prominent NCAA basketball analyst puts it best, "when you're playing in the NCAA tournament, you have to face your nemesis". Iowa got passed one of them by winning a game with only Clark hitting 3's. Every other time that happened, they lost. Iowa is going through a gauntlet, and they survived their first test. Colorado is going to look like West Virginia, only taller. That team is very quick, and they're battle-tested. It's a very challenging bracket for Iowa.

Certainly heavily favored. But, with a knockout competition, anything can happen. Though i would favour a 3 game finals series. In the end we all want the best team to win. Not the luckiest team.

Y’all just completely discounting Baylor like it’s a given USC is going to the Elite 8. Y’all know USC only has a 56% chance to win that game, per advanced stats. How about giving some love to teams that don’t have these superstars y’all like to talk about all the time. They’re working together; a different star every night. You can make your pick, but don’t act like it’s a foregone conclusion.

Only a certain few (weirdos) want to see LSU vs. Iowa again. The last season championship game between them wasn't a close game or a nailbiter. So why? Why do "we" so desperately need to see these two teams face off. The LSU team couldn't give a D and judging by the looks of the Iowa players during the " Iowa Hawkeyes selection show watch party " @ 3:41 , THEY DON'T WANT TO FACE LSU either. So, let's stop the fake hype about a rematch. EVERYBODY who is truly a women's college basketball fan who has seen either of the two games LSU has played against South Carolina this season, wants to see these two teams play again. This time with all healthy players and a National Championship on the line. THAT'S the real game most people want to see.

LSU needs to give SC credit for last years title - it was crazy #2 Iowa had to play #1 SC in the semi-final match! If you think IA was at 100% for the title game after the dog fight the SC game was then you didn't watch their semi-final game. Congrats LSU, but don't get it twisted they didn't face the same Hawkeye team that ran through the Big10 and took out a generational team in SC.

Virginia Tech, Kansas St, Ohio St, lost on their home court. Stanford, Texas, Iowa, LSU, UCLA, Indiana, NC State, a play or two could have got got. Uconn, Oregon St, Gonzaga, got competitive games on their home court. Only South Carolina, Notre Dame and USC wasnt tested. Now everybody in the sweet 16 on neutral sites. How is neutral sites a topic?

LSU gonna beat them when it counts. If the refs stay out of it. I feel we would have still beat middle Tenn but the refs played a major part in us blowing them out the same as the Iowa game when Iowa had one made shot in the fourth quarter but scored 14 of their 16 points from the line but nobody talks about that they just hate on the Showtime Tigers And y'all don't even know it Geaux Tigers

@rluellam - Thanks for pointing that out. Ever since the brackets came out I've been predicting Oregon State would advance and take down South Carolina. OSU is tall, strong, have depth, and it's really hard to score on them in the paint. South Carolina will have their hands full, and they will crack away from their home court. Pac-12 has 5 teams in the sweet 16 for a reason. The Pac-12 has been the toughest conference by far this year.

@@user-gn3wq1mt7g because maybe they are over rated conference maybe and SC score more points than OSU and give up less points than OSU. Every thing you said about OSU goes for SC. SC has been number one after first week and where OSU finished 13th ranked. The Notre Dame game, the referee’s interruption may have cause ND to lose to enforce a rule for the first time this in that game when it was not called whole season. We’ll see who wins but Carolina not doing as good as they can lately, they been close to losing many game

Caitlin can't win it alone, neither could Larry Bird in 1979 even tho the Sycamores were 33 and 0 the day of the Championship game, mostly because of Larry Bird. Magic and the Spartans brought their game and even if Larry had put up a 30 + point effort the Sycamores were still likely to lose by a point or two instead of the 11 point lost they suffered. Basket ball is a team effort first and foremost.

NOBODY is stopping SC, and I'm not even a SC fan. I can't stand Cardoza. She plays dirty and she's a bully.

Oregon State will advance and take down South Carolina. South Carolina will finally have to take on one of the best teams in the best women's basketball conference this year. The Pac-12 has 5 teams in the sweet sixteen for a reason. Oregon State is tall, strong, has depth and is extremely hard to score on in the paint. South Carolina will be away from home and won't get the home cooking. Quite simply, South Carolina will crack under pressure. They should have lost to that also-ran Tennessee, but dodged a bullet.

Haven't been watching that South Carolina team, have you? Their fans travel and they probably play the toughest schedule out of any team. They are young but battle tested, and I don't see that with Oregon St. Ask yourself the question, Can Oregon St. face the pressure of dealing with a team that is a defensive and offensive juggernaut and not fold?
