Alex Vesia was a huge snub from the Dodgers. Dude has quietly been one of the best relievers in best baseball but because his stuff isn't the flashiest out of the pen, they left him off

And the Twins are sitting with the 4th best record in the AL and only got one player. I know my bias, but it does seem odd. Meanwhile, 4 Royals sitting in 6th, 3 Astros sitting in 8th, 2 Tigers sitting in 10th, 2 Rangers sitting in 11th. Obviously, team success matters for very little.

I think they should have at least considered Hunter Greene, but that NL pitching room is so crowded

As a Phillies fan, Christopher Sanchez was a huge snub. Dude has been a beast for us all year. Can’t be mad though since we had 7 guys make the team. I knew at least one of our pitchers was gonna get snubbed.

@@ryanney4762he has the 4th best ERA among national leader starters and the 4th best fWAR. Horrible as of late is an exaggeration based on only his most recent start , which was really bad. But before that start he allowed 1 earned run in the 23 innings. You can find a bad outing for any pitcher , to this point in the season he has been a top starter in the NL and would have absolutely been deserving

Honestly not a terrible all star year. Not too many players who don't deserve it or have a solid argument.

Turang is great, and yes he hits more than singles. He also strikes out alot. In fact he's struck out more already this year than arraez has ever in a whole season, by a lot. Neither has any power . So to me dude with back to back batting titles wins. JMO

Burleson and Donavan have been really good recently, especially defensively, and Wilson Contreras is right up there with his brother with similiar stats.

I was honestly surprised that William Contreras doesn't have better stats this year, so I'd slightly lean towards bumping him in favor of Willson. I suspect that Willson's long IL stint with a broken arm made people forget how hot he was to start the season. I remember checking when he got injured, and he was on pace for about 8 bWAR if you took his WAR at that time * 162 / # of games the Cardinals had played when he got hurt. He's been absolutely mashing (161 wRC+), and his defense, especially framing, showed noticeable improvement over 2023.

Initially, i thought they did pretty good, but after seeing some of the guys left off its pretty dissapointing Westburg and Santander from Baltimore You can make the case for O'Hoppe from LA Munoz for Seattle and Kimbrel have both been way better than Holmes, coming from a Yankee fan In fairness, i guess Westburg is considered a 3B which is why Semien got the 2B backup spot Turang may be the biggest snub Pete over Walker is baffling when Nimmo should've been the lone Met And Jake Irvin for Washington and Bryan Hudson for Milwaukee have been so good. I know everyone loves Skenes, and hes great, but one medicore start with that little of innings, blows up his numbers. When guys have nearly triple the innings and similar numbers, its a slap in the face.

I'm not gonna lie but I don't have a problem with these lineups. I see what you're saying on so e of these

I was teammates with arraez for years with the twins. He’s not interesting for casual watchers and number crunchers who looks at deep stats and pass it off as baseball knowledge, but Luis is the best hitter I ever faced. (Judge is 0-4 with 3ks against me) Luis doesn’t get beat by velo, doesn’t care about command, also won’t get off balance by an 3-0 slider. If you punch his ticket keep the ball. You can tell me all day about his value by the numbers. I will tell you back watch him play the WBC for Venezuela. Watch him in big moments, the ones that matter he will get the hit, he will grind an AB and move the guy over. He might be the one guy in the league bases loaded 2 outs 9th inning where pitchers would rather face anyone else other then Luis cause you know you’re not punching him out. You know he’s probably gonna get a knock even if you throw your best stuff. You talk about him like leading baseball in hits and always up there if not leading in average is easy to do. It’s simply not. You’d be the guy to talk bs about Tony Gwynn, funny story other pro players call Luis the Latin Tony Gwynn.
