2024 Mitsubishi Triton 4x4 honest review + tested off-road vs MR Triton

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Unsealed 4x4 has just attended the launch of the all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton. We tested it on-road, off-road and even managed to compare it to the older MR Triton. But is it any good? Does Mitsubishi have a HiLux killer on their hands? Well, that's what we are here to find out.

One thing Mitsubishi has had a clear advantage on over all other utes is reliability and over all current utes save for some Ranger and Amarork is constant AWD which makes a big difference to handling and safety in all weather and road types with negligible difference in fuel economy. Cheers

I say 💩shit most 4wd have 4wd constant, the triton is a bottom feeder with 470 nm 😂😂😂😂 the new model is like putting lipstick on a pig it still a pig. The ranger is class leading with most sales of utes for over 16 months , it is not a competitive thing with ranger or Toyota as it no contest . More placed in the class of gwm musso ect. And pay more money for the 💩box 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@tyzon00800 mmm...name a ute apart from V6 Ranger and the VW copy that has constant 4wd apart from Triton. Triton has had it since 2009. Ranger is a late entrant to the safety and handling stakes...only took Ford 15 years or so to catch up as best it can.

@@landrover1155 Let's not forget that Ranger has the reliability of a Lada Niva. The worst gearboxes in class PERIOD. torque convertor is a piece of shit too. Everyone wants to rack on the triton in order to try justify their purchase of a 70k lemon.

Took ford years to come up with something while the Tritons had been around for years just doing it job.Remember the 1st few rangers were Mazda bt50’s. Ford had years to develop a decent 4ward & ad I worked for ford dealers for years in service departments they are recall nightmare & just shit. They look good but that’s about it. Get educated before opening ur small mind.

Agree, a 4x4 title should be focusing on what 4wders want. Now we know about the DPF, alternator, you can fit slimline lithium batteries behind the back seat, and the traction control works with the rear locker. The Mitsubishi website tells you about how many cupholders there are.

One of the only problems left is there's no Mitsubishi dealer in every town in the middle of butt f*** nowhere where I live Whether we like it or not, unless you live in a city and renew your car before warranty... In Australia we live in Toyota country!

@dirtmonkey4x435 depends on model though mate. Upper MR's have multiple drive modes. The 'Rock' setting is very aggressive in terms of the electronic traction control. I would have expected Unsealed to have used the MR in Rock setting (it looks like a GSR so Super Select II) as they did in the MV but I am not sure. Cheers

What good was his warranty? If you live remote, Australia is Toyota country

BEHOLD, a Nissan Frontier (US) with Mitsu badges and slight esthetic differences. You guys Down Under need to get the US Frontier/Triton with 6 ft. bed and 139 in. wheelbase. The short wheelbase of your Triton and other utes looks stupid to me. I think that the bed sticks out way too far past the rear axle.
