I've fished all of them. IMO, i prefer the 2024 Metanium DC the most.

surprise there was no DNR there. i went fishing there before opening day and told wasnt allowed to fish yet, since its consider a "urban spot". guess they werent there this year.

Could you tell me if this 2024 metanium dc 70 will bait finesse like the Slx dc 70 xt . I am debating on getting the metanium but I like the finesse capabilities of the slx . This would be very helpful in making my decision.

It absolutely can. Keep in mind, it is not BFS but it does well! I’ve test a few various lighter swimbaits and it can get the job done!

My Metanium is arriving today! Now a really stupid question. I want to fish 12lb fluro on it. Should I first spool a backing for the fluro? How much backing do you think if any? Will 12lb fluro be good for my pond fishing?

Thanks for watching! No such thing as a stupid question. Straight Fluorocarbon works great. You don’t need any backing for it. Only use backing when throwing braid, as braid tends to slip. Depending on where you are fishing, 12lb-16lb test works great!

Is the Metanium dc backlash g slightly or do you just have a habit of pulling line out a couple times to make sure your line stays tight? I just ordered my Metanium dc today. Are you still liking it?

Thanks for watching! No backlashing at all. I am just fishing deeper water so i let line out to let the lure sink before slow retrieving it. You'll love the new metanium DC - I am loving every bit of it so far. Make sure you subscribe to get alerted when new content drops - i've been using my metanium DC A LOT so there is more footage coming.

@@ChewyThaoFishing I wonder why the KZreadr the real test is complaining about it so much when he seems to be knowledgeable about reels. Do you think he just has it set up wrong? He is having tons of backlash at high brake levels. I hope he just got a bad one or isn’t adjusting it right or something. I definitely hope mine makes me as happy as yours is. Great content, man I can tell you really love Fishing and it spreads the joy through your videos.👊🏼

Hey, what's up man. I'm looking into getting the same exact combo, but since it is so recent I can't find anything on how it performs in saltwater (not very frequenty, but never the less). I'm specifically talking about the reel. Could you help me out?

Thanks for watching! The reel is definitely salt water safe. Unsure how it will handle versus some of the big salt water fish but it definitely is built to be used for fresh and salt water.
