With a car like this, there is almost no destination you could think of that would be better than the means that got you there.

The ambient lighting is gorgeous Man that speaker exhaust is awful, especially the launch control. Can't believe that's consistent throughout modern AMG even in an S Class.

Nah a christmas tree looks nice. This looks lika a cheap nightclub with lots of Aliexpress LED strips everywhere. What an eyesore and also very distracting since it reflects EVERYWHERE on those high gloss plastics.

Yeah “so cool” that the lights make the interior look like a Vegas style slot machine. The lights are way too much and yes, I’m aware they can be turned off but people are commenting what’s seen in this video and the lights look foolish in this video.

Looking for parts such as..filter, oil etc. all require special order items and special care because it’s European. it could be an expensive damage to the car. Heck just lifting it wrong to change low tires is stressful. in terms of reliability I always wait to see how it is after 100k miles

you cant feel the torque, you can only feel the horsepower/kilowatts, 1400nm just means there's a lot of horsepower produced for every ignition stroke. For example you can drive a 2000nm tractor but it still feels slow because the max rpm is like 1500rpm. 1400nm @ 2000rpm has the same acceleration/horsepower as 700nm @ 4000rpm and 350nm @ 8000rpm and so on.

Nobody does ambient lighting like Mercedes

This is the car where this new AMG "power unit" works best. Imo most do not rly mind if their S63 AMG weighs 2,5 or 2,1 metric tons. To some degree I also see this as a great drivetrain for the 63 E-Class. It's a whole different story with the C63 AMG though and it's weight increase to S Class level.(~2,1t) You definitely feel those 400 extra Kilogramms and it totally destroys the agility and dynamic the old model had, while thrown into corners. No matter what tech you use you can not mask laws of physic. The less torquy ICE in the new model does not help either. So while killing the sportiness in the C63 AMG and sadly also the new AMG GT(it rly sucks compared to it's almost factory GT3 rdy outgoing model), Mercedes did quite a good job with improving the S and E class. In the end we have just to swallow that new emission rules will slowly kill our beloved petrol only drivetrains. Thats no excuse though for transforming the new AMG GT to such a dull and overweight luxury coupe. Now Merc is as boring as BMW with no serious sportscar in the line up.(AMG ONE does not count)

That's the closest thing to a batmobile I've ever seen. Incredible.

It's even worse if your country does not have Autobahn. Something like 200-300 HP is perfect for daily driving. Now if you take your car to track - that's whole different story, and imo that's where those cars should be used instead of status symbol that can't even put up power most of the time.

people complaining about being unable to see the road at night lmao.. either never been in any car with ambient lighting or got a problem with their eyesight. Just set a warm color and it's actually better for night drives imo cause your eyes aren't used to complete darkness when a car with bright headlights comes across. And I mean you can turn it all the way off so what's the point in complaining. What I find shit about my Maserati is that it doesn't have any lights almost at all , not very cozy at night. Heck even the Skoda octavia I drove had a cool led stripe in the door trim. Then on the otherside, there are people mounting alibaba led bands all over their interiors...
