    You're missing a few changes MECHANICALLY... 1. Changed steering 2. Introduction of a Limited Slip Diferential

    I took a harder look, yes a tune up on steering and a new Limited Slip Diff. I couldn't tell a difference since obviously I wasn't driving it hard so everything felt the same to me as before. But yes you are definitely correct I need to do better on research end.

    It's a new revised LSD, but the previous ND's had a LSD

    @garrettstupperware3754 basically with quite a few changes. You'll only be able to tell when you're driving it hard and using it lol! I hope one day I'll be able to learn about that

    The main difference is the new lsd. It doesnt snap oversteer which is in the earlier nd1 and 2 does. The difference is night and day. The difference is enjoying the car around bends without wrapping yourself around a tree. This is a game changer. Now this mx5 is the best sports car in the world

    I want to do a back to back ND2 and ND3 one and see if I can feel that difference. Driving it normally around town you won't really feel a difference. I didn't pay attention much with steering because it felt the same to me honestly. The LSD is the big one I would love to feel

    After researching some more as I will admit I didn't take a deep dive into mechanical research. Here's what's new - Recalibrated Power Steering System - New Limited Slip Differential As a daily commuter, these are things you won't feel a difference. But as I learn on changes and forget what changed truly is something I need to improve better on. The entire LSD is different, having the capability to lock and unlock better during acceleration or deceleration. Basically, it makes it better to improve turning in a corner hard and easier to control as the ND1 and ND2 are notorious for being tail happy. Steering calibration has also changed, leaving a more communicative input during hard driving compared to the last iterations. Now, if you're just commuting in the miata like I was, you won't feel a difference, which is why I said it feels like a miata. But reading off from professionals (Motor1.com) it's a major difference between the ND2 and ND3 joy driving which I hope one day I will be able to do to understand more on the control of the vehicle.

    Wrong. I have had a new 2016 and new 2019. I immediately noticed the different steering. It is a very welcome change.

    @@Chilicharger665 Damn I hardly drive them and couldn't tell. I'm going to see if I can drive them back to back some day and identify the difference because I really want to start feeling the difference.

    I have ordered the 2024 RF version (2.0L) and should get it end of July. I drive calm 99% of the time, but I do like the very stable chassis. Consequently, the only thing that I worry about is the rolling: I am afraid it is too important...

    That's a very low chance, to be honest you'll most likely drift than roll it over lol! But I understand where you're coming from. You won't regret the RF that's a very sweet car!

    For 2024 the steering has changed its more progressive going off center back and forth you don't need to correct it now as well the new limited slip makes a big difference as well the wiring is all new.The screen is obvious but doesn't change the driving.

    If the gr86 was a fill convertible i could accept the comparison but its not

    I would be an easier comparison, but both are similar to the purpose it serves. It just depends on what you want in the end. I'm dying to drive a GR86 just to see what it's like to drive.

    Well this is a surprise, according to Mazda EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) Europe the 2024 MX-5 (Miata) is actually an NE model code, not ND3, the ND no longer exists. Needs a VIN Check to verify, Mazda EPC is not usually wrong..... So is the ND Dead?

  • @general_carz

    @general_carz

    That's weird? I guess Europe might be different then? I know Mazda is working on an All New Miata which would classify it as the NE. But I'm not sure how Europe did it. Here in the states we just call it the ND3 🤣
