I have a 2023 model of my K5 Kia, too it all the way out to Morongo, as a Uber driver, I love it, good milage as I go, smooth feel and the seats feel great on my back too. I am glad that I sold my 2019 Corolla LE for this model, IT'S A BEAST!!!!

Nice review. Agree, I never liked the optima name, and never bought one. I bought my K5 GT LINE with premium package in May of 21. Just before all the craziness started. I'm in so cal and paid 28.800 and change. Same car today is about 32000. I also qualified for thier 0.0 intrest financing promo they were offering! SWEET! I like it very much, and it's a great freeway cruiser, on my trips to Vegas its comfortable, Just set the cruise at 85 and its very nice drive. The 8 speed really does keep RPMS low, which should be good for engine longevity, at 100 mph, its only turning 2800 RPMS! My cars has the smaller 8 inch infotainment screen, and it is car play/android auto wireless! And it works just great. You have a new subscriber.

This car looks awesome. Thanks for the detailed review! I am going to test drive one soon. I am considering either the Sonata or K5, but supply for '23 Sonatas seems low and I heard the '24 model won't be out until December or January. What do you think of K5 GT Line vs EX? I think I may like "leather" seats better, and all the extra features with the EX Premium Package upgrade. Are there any other big differences between GT Line and EX besides EX having all the bells & whistles?

That is a very nice car!! I had a 22 GT line and put 42000 miles on it then traded for a 24 GT

As a 6’6 or 6’7 guy, the K5 is in my sight 😮‍💨, in canada we got awd on all trims except the gt, and the gt line is more pricey than the EX!

i noticed you say it DOESN’T have apple car play. but all the specs i see online, says it does. was that a change, or am i misunderstanding something?
