Hows the sound quality? When they first walkaround it on thailand (i think) it has the Bose speakers does the ph variant have it if not is it still good? We have Xp Cross and it sure sounds a lil better than the Veloz.

BRV was never the best, even in its VX form. Easily chose the Xpander over it, imagine getting cruise control and reverse camera for less than 1.1M net price vs 1.150M(no discount or only 10k) for the base AT with way less convenience features.

@@MiggyMndza agree here. Masyado tipid sa features si Honda. I initially wanted to get BRV pero compared to the SG Premium price point, parang S variant lang yata halos yung katapat ng price nya, or maybe the V. But still, sobrang basic ng makukuhang features. Doesnt even have the keyless entry.

BR-V has worst value for money. Minus in almost every category, including not the best acceleration or fuel efficiency. That L engine boasting 120hp is a hoax on the brochure

This is like a throwback from 3 yrs ago but we lost the BRV and the Ertiga and gained the Veloz and Stargazer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

These 3 were actually my choices & im super satisfied with my Stargazer X for a month now. After watching a lot of YT reviews for the 7seater cars, these 3cars were the ones that i really scrutinized(pa balik balik pa sa showroom hahaha) & had test driven these 3cars. No regrets whatsoever, best decision to have the Stargazer X because of all the qualities as featured in this comparision video. The powerful engine, most spacious, added safety assistance features & others pa definitely made the Hyundai Stargazer X the winner in these 7seater category 👍🚘❤

Yes tradeoff talaga. While I liked XP Cross 2 tone white, id rather go for space and tech aka whats on the inside rather on the outside. Id be driving fr the inside naman to begin with.

Yoo Caco! I just started watching this vid of yours dude and honestly, I couldn't help but immediately drop a comment after your introduction. Bro, let me just say that you, and Autodeal, amongst all other car review channels helped me decide on the best MPV for me and my fam. I got my 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander December of last year. Thank you! If not for your reviews, it would've been a major pain in the butt to choose the right car we need.

I’ve previously owned a 2008 Avanza G and a 2016 Honda Mobilio V, now I drive a 2023 Xpander GLS. All cars I’ve regularly driven on city and provincial roads; and on toll highways. And of course the ultimate test drive for titos which is to Baguio. The Xpander GLS which is mechanically the same as the Cross (except for the yaw control) for me is the best driver’s car so far. The engine is adequate for family use and the ride and sound insulation is great.

Selling point ko talaga sa veloz namin is the dual evaporator. That means the air blown from the 2nd row vents are cooler and not from the air from the front because it has it's own evaporator. compared to the expander, stargazer, and even the brv that uses only blowers to circulate the cool air from the front. It's not really explained much in this comparo but I mean this factor can make a difference especially in long drives and especially during summer season. Ito yung reason kung bakit pinili namin si veloz. Ito kasi yung complain namin sa 1st gen ng brv. Nkakaawa yung nasa 3rd row and i mean that is my seating assignment noon (kapag marami kami nkasakay). I have to request the driver everytime to raise the middle vents from the dashboard towards the inlet of the 2nd row vents para lumamig yung hangin sa likod. Plus, it's a toyota. The least expensive and the best km/liter ratio and not to mention the resell value.

I agree sa aircon. It's something that's not mentioned a lot. I regularly drive a Veloz back and forth from Manila to the province and ginaw na ginaw kami lagi after a while. Big plus din talaga yung km/liter mileage. My only complaint is it doesn't have cruise control as mentioned in the video.

Agree din ako n wlang cruise control pero it's not a deal breaker for me. Been driving a manual for a while and i only knew of cruise control sa tv at youtube. Hehhehe! The only complain that i have for the veloz is the low ride height. Lagi sumasad2 yung front.

We decided to buy SGX on Nov 2023 by simple basis that 3rd row would fit 2 adults comfortably and if the AC would cool down a display unit left under the sun on high noon. I already tried Xpander, wasn't able to give me that big cabin feel. SGX is good on paper and better on actual. We drove this to Baguio on January and it just gave a laugh on every vehicle climbing up. Downhill was best if the gear is put into S mode. Happy Buyer here.

My family is a generation of diesel hoggers. Until my father broke that tradition. He bought a Stargazer X. Most comfortable I’ve been in, in the city. As a passenger heck yes, as a driver, of course! We also did long drives in Mindanao and I was suprised it can handle well! Although it really needs more power at times pag paakyat but hey, 90% of the time, it was fun and comfortable. If you have any questions about sa stargazer X, ask away!

You can never go wrong sa Xpander din naman. Sweet spot are GLX AT or GLS variant. Same goes with Stargazer ( GLS ) E variant for Veloz, priced at 1,092 PHP. Don't tell me about your Reliability, durability and Resale value ninyo T-Fanboys😂 Any car brand will lasts as long as you take good care of them! Isa pa bumili ako ng sasakyan para gamitin, hindi para isipin yung resale value in the next 10 years😂 Hindi siya sulit for me. Daming cars dyan na sulit ang specs for its price. Stargazer is just on anotha level. But kudos to the Xpander who revolutionized this kind of MPV setup / looks.

The Veloz and the Stargazer were on our shortlist last year. Veloz felt very low and claustrophobic third row. Both had ADAS but they felt annoying and distracting as I came from driving a basic econo sedan (Mirage G4 GLX) with zero driving assist features. Almost picked the roomier Stargazer X if not for the non-functional roof rail. We ended up moving to a different segment and got ADAS-less entry level Innova XE.

I already knew it before even watching this much-awaited comparo that the Hyundai Stargazer X is definitely the big winner! From its most powerful engine to its innovative and economical IVT, from having the most spacious interior to a luxury car-like riding comfort, and most of all, its boatload of safety and tech features, the Stargazer X should be simply any MPV buyer’s no-brainer choice when in the market for top-of-the-line MPVs. I might even recommend the penultimate variant, the GLS Premium, as it’s around ₱60K cheaper than the X and still gets all those safety/tech features-really, the only differences are the slightly lower (but not too low) ground clearance and sans the “SUV” looks (which don’t matter to most buyers at all). The Toyota Veloz V is kinda, meh. While it’s also got a decent amount of safety and tech features, my somehow major gripes in Toyota’s offering are its medyo cramped space, cheap interior and door closing thud, and a quite low ground clearance. But hey, it can be had for the cheapest, right? And as much as I expected Hyundai’s offering to be the best, it’s quite obvious na rin (and I stand by it) that the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is the worst. top. of. the. line. M. P. V. ever. Too expensive to say, at best. Like, seriously?! ₱1.3+ million for a 7” wired infotainment system?! Old-school 4AT?! Additional charges for the two-tone colors?! 2 airbags only?! No driver-assist (read: NOT gimmicks) system?! No way! Thank you, AutoDeal, for this detailed comparo that’s been much-awaited. I disagree sir about the automatic transmission ng xpander. Its actually the perfect kind of transmission for the xpander. I dont think cvt will do the xpander justice. People hauler si xpander. Pound for pound, lalo na sa pagdating sa porma, mas may laban ang Xpander sa hatak sa masa, kaya nga xpander and pinakamaraming sales sa mpv class eh

Been researching bout MPVs since last year... And these 3 were on my list. Kudos to Expander for setting the standard of MPVs - with its looks and riding comfortability but there were too much of them on the road. Not exciting to have this anymore. I also think its underpowered with its HP and torque. The weakest among the 3. With Veloz, truly a step up among Avanza models but its the smallest among the 3. Kinda cramped up space. And just not a fan of its look - especially the side part. Stargazer on the other hand... Winning the crucial categories such as best engine performance, best safety features, most spacious (leg room, head room)... Caught my attention!... but have not decided yet. Til the X came out! The sporty look - fender claddings, front grill bumpers, black-colored roof with added roofrails! Plus! the changing of the looks of the dashboard from gray to piano black made me decide... This is it! 🙌🙏😊 Thank you Lord for the blessing of having to choose Stargazer X! This comparo vid just confirmed that i made the right decision 👌🙌🙏 Proud Owner of Stargazer X! Well done Autodeal! Best car overall is the stargazer. Only things is that it is a hit or miss when it comes to styling because unlike the others, it doesnt try to look like a crossover suv, rather it embraces the mpv look. In turn it makes it the most spacious

For me, looks don't matter at all as they are MPVs. Their functionality, overall space and comfort, and performance are the most important for the category. So, for me, Stargazer X takes this. Rubrics for the comparo are well laid out. And the power test is considerably acceptable and more usable for the real application of these cars. It's great to see Hyundai being able to deliver their current lineup at reasonable prices right now.

I am a stargazer user (GLS though), all I can say is it brings us from point A to point B. Although my first pick at that time was veloz/top of the line Avanza, I ended up buying stargazer because of the good offer by the dealer (gritmotor baguio). Toyota has always been the first pick by majority however, it all boils down to what a certain car may offer. At first, the looks of the stargazer during day time really is not impressive at all but wait till one sees it during night time when all lights illuminate. The way those front and back lights form amazing shapes aren’t boring at all.

Stargazer X all way, got mine last week after seeing comparo review from topgear.

I'm not a fan of Toyota, but I'd choose Veloz over the other two. 1. Xpander looks sporty, but performance is the worst(I've been driving my brother's Xpander and it runs sucks with its 4-speed). 2. Stargazer's performance is obviously better than the two, but it looks futuristic with retro interior, and without a stargazer(moon/sun roof). Not my type. 3. Veloz has both looks and performance. I've driven it multiple times and It's always a better ride.

I've been eying Stargazer since you tested it with BRV last year lol. Not planning to get one, but it's something I am planning to get in 2028 (if it's still a good car) once I have a family. I drive a 5-yr old Honda City and still works very well lol.

Bought the Veloz last year. We've been choosing between the Veloz, BRV and the Stargazer premium back then, but the gauge cluster panel of the Stargazer is a bit distracting maybe because of its color or chunky sya? unlike sa Staria na parang tablet na nakapatong? its now better naman na making it piano/glossy black for the Stargazer X. ❤❤❤ after months owning the Veloz we bought the Staria GLS for family :) both cars are good. :)

Boy oh boy. The Hyundai Stargazer came to the Party late but really prepared to steal everybody's attention.

If you're on the fence. Really.. test drive all 3.. 4, if you're considering the BRV-VX in the budget as well. You'll notice and feel significant differences on things that matter in a daily drive. Safety. Space. Power. Comfort. Tech. Amenities. These are vehicles worth above a million and a quarter.. and you'll have to decide on what meets your needs as a driver AND passenger. Yes, Xpander looks great - but lacks tech, safety and luxury. Yes, Veloz carries the Toyota badge.. but it's technically a Daihatsu in heavy make up. Which makes you think twice if it can live up to Toyota's legend of quality. In the end. After considering everything for months of casa visits and test drives.. looks, longevity and luxury - I bought the one that gives me all that meets everything in balance. The SGX. Yes looks are polarizing.. but it grows on you... And it does everything.. if not the best way possible, then definitely, the most balanced.

you still see the 2 generations of avanzas still plying on the streets. and there's the wigo for already 10 years in the market. and first gen wigos are still plying on our streets since 2014. I dont think questionable pa rin ang reliability ng daihatsu. fyi lang, engines installed on those daihatsu built vehicles are toyota made and designed engines.

Pretty much every car brand out there has vehicles that's been on our roads for decades.. so I wouldn't credit their longevity to being a Toyota.. that's what I meant by saying Daihatsu isn't a Toyota.. cos it may live as long as any other car brand out there that isn't a Toyota - or maybe not. It's still a gamble. So basing all car buying decision on the brand's reputation may not be the best idea. It's a consideration. But not the deal breaker

Even Toyota is re-branding the Ertiga in some markets and calling it their own MPV, the Rumion. So, would you say the Rumion is better built thant the Ertiga, because it's badged as Toyota? Or is the several generations of Ertiga on the road, a testament of its quality already, even if it's not a Toyota? Nowadays, since brands share parts, plants, employees, and tech.. brand name is trivial at best. No need to look far than the Toyota made Yaris cross vs the Daihatsu's.. which by the way share the same manufacturing and platform as the Veloz, Avanza and Raize that are currently riddled with frame and safety scandals.. If Toyota has faith in the Daihatsu line up, then they shouldn't have created a Toyota-made Yaris cross to sell in their up-market regions like Japan, Au and EU.

I dont know, maybe its just me, but i think, in my honest opinion, is that filipinos dont like change. We’re uneasy of changes, especially radical ones. We’d rather be comfortable of classics or be complacent to what is tried and tested and dont want to venture outside our comfort zone. That is why..Toyota loyalty, and expander sillhoute. If something came out of the ordinary we will think its ugly or not used to. Me, i agree with you guys at the office of autodeal. I think stargazer looks stunning will stand the test of time with its aesthetic. I dont get it why the masses think its ugly. Or maybe i have given the reason above. Maybe if a very pretty lady present itself but just so happens to be of dark skin, we will think its weird, were used to mestizas and ms universe profiles. Cmon guys. Think outside the box and out of your comfort zones. You might like it. Specially if the numbers are right in front you and it doesnt lie.

The Stargazer seems to attract the younger generations (GenZ and Millennials). Whereas the Veloz and Xpander seem to favor the older generations (Boomers and GenX) pretty much due to them growing up with Toyotas and Mitsubishis taking up like 90% of the PH car market decades ago…

⁠@@Karuro04 one of my titas bought a Stargazer GLS Premium, which is a big surprise to me kasi throughout my life, either Toyota or Nissan lang ang ginabili nilang mga sasakyan. my point is, if you try something new, kaya netong mabago yung perception mo. in this case, it's for the better knowing that Hyundai is a brand na may established consumer base dito sa atin.

There is nothing wrong with futuristic design. Stargazer front is just really ugly. If they want to make it futuristic, then make it at least nice. Make it simple and not too complicated, the front doesn't match the side and rear. The grille, bumper, and headlights, if not for them we are going to buy stargazer. Why would we invest in a car that one aspect which is looks will suffer. It is your car, and you should be happy with all categories. But if you think there is nothing wrong, it's all good! No matter how i convince my self with stargazer, i just cant really take it, so sad..with all the comfort and efficiency.

@@Karuro04 we’ll see to it. The Stargazer lineup is just relatively new, just 2 years in our market. Let’s see by, say, 2027 if the Stargazer experiences major problems by many of its owners then I might be wrong all along. Remember how when the Xpander first came to our shores in 2018 and many were apprehensive that it wouldn’t be as “durable” as the Adventure which it sought to replace? Apparently many of them flexed their cars to be the “best” MPV in our market today. Yes, that is if casa-maintained. But if Banawe/third party brand parts were used and they did their maintenances outside of Mitsubishi, I doubt they’ll last long.

My dream car is the winner , even when it is not yet coming in the Philippines thie Stargazer X..Premium, GLS or GL..The design is still Futuristic..😊

really thankful for this vidz, as i'm surveying 7-seater mpv. Based on look, i'm totally inlove with veloz but the driver headrest is totally look uncomfortable. don't like stargazer exterior design, but look comfortable for famili outing, but still cannot discarded xpander cross from the choices just because mitsubishi..

I bought an NWow small erv and i have NO regrets. 7 years na and wala pa ako pinalitan na pyesa..battery lang. What i do like..and what not

The second row of Veloz has 3 head rest compared to the other two that has 2 head rest. Quite simple but gives big impact to the comfortability of a passenger especially in long rides.

What a great comparison between these awesome vehicles, and as you guys have shown it appears to be with no doubt that the Hyundai won fair and square, but we all have our own cup of tea, and I will have to pick the Xpander Cross.

Good job AD team! Stargazer is a good choice and even the Xpander Cross is a good choice also, but my heart belongs to Veloz. It doesnt look too fancy and it is a Toyota

But if any accidents happened to be in third row from either sides, better be in Veloz. Stargazer X's curtain airbags only cover the first two rows, not including the third one.

At least better not be in the Xpander since even the seemingly top-of-the-line Cross variant definitely lacks ‘em.

Driven all those 3 for quite awhile now. Switching cars with my family till i get a grip which to buy one. Im glady bought my land cruiser gr as its best of all. Nice job toyota.

Was choosing among these cars, we went with the Honda BRV Gen 2. 😊

right off the bat i know which one will be at the tail end and it turned out i was right. the small and low res infotainment system screens and the lack of cruise control could be deal breakers for some.

don't forget the safety features.

After market support should also consider. Also, the cost of maintenance. Let say first 5-10 years.

this is actually true the only thing i don't like abt the Stargazer is its looks, the inside looks comfy with more leg and head rooms and nice leather "seats" which makes it feel and looks better.

The expander is advertised as a 2WD automobile compared to the other two. That can be seen at the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines website.

Ahh yes the comparo the long await stargazer x for me hands down. Before this comparo expander cross win for this one. Now lets see who wins the best mpv in the market

The thing is that they didn’t include the Honda BR-V VX for this comparo. I’m pretty certain that the BR-V wins above the Xpander Cross and Veloz, but I think it’s gonna be a tie between the BR-V and the Stargazer. Because while the BR-V has the most powerful engine, adaptive cruise control, and VTEC tuning, the Stargazer is super spacious, which the BR-V will definitely fall at last place if it was included in this comparo.

Great review! Can't argue with the winner. Just don't like the exterior look tho 😩 if pwede lang gusto ko Veloz look and the rest Stargazer na haha.

let's add one more category - AFTER SALES service and parts availability. it is a big part of owning a car after all

Kaya id still go for japanese cars. Maintenence is also very important. Pinakamatagal na sa 3 ang xpander. Kaya marami ng parts available surplus or bnew.
