For me, it doesn't look as bad as people are saying. The interior is nice, the front is beautiful. The rear is weird yeah but that wouldn't stop me from buying it (if I could afford it lmao)

I’m a fan! I think the Hyundai Defender Sport (dubbed by James and Thomas from TH) is going to be a big seller. Thanks for taking us on the drive!
All you have to do in order to access the third row seats is to press that button on top of the seats once. the vents for the second row are by the b pillar and that trim comes with Head up display

@@BerettaShotThanYouHyundai’s and Kia’s tailights have always been over the top even from back then. When most cars have one tailight bulb per side, they always had two or three bulbs. E.g Kia Spectra, Hyundai i10, Hyundai Starex, Kia Magentis. Nowadays, they went even more bonkers with LED dots all over.
The car has so many features,I love it
I have a Sonata N Line with this same powertrain. I absolutely love it in the hills for how responsive it is, but I also keep it in Sport or Sport+ the whole time. There’s absolutely no gear hunting in the Sonata.
For the price these are going for, these are really good bargains! Hyundai really stepped their game up
Nice review, I think the air vent for the second row is on he left pillar besides the driver's seat?
There are vents in the second row just not controls. They're on the pillars. You missed them apparently. There's a programmed delay in 1st to avoid torque steer etc. If it were tuned like a N vehicle it would be quicker but also cause those other issues. A traditional 8spd would work but it would also reduce fuel economy. It takes around 10 minutes to fully sanitize. The light will go off once completed 😉 Parents with young children may use it a lot with things like toys, pacifiers etc. Those items little ones tend to drop.
19:41 came for the santa fe review, stayed for the cow conversation
Quickly thought it was a range from the thumbnail nice interior
Regardless of the design, Hyundai made the right choice to give Santa Fe a more outdoorsy treatment. Palisade is essentially taking over the market for the previous generation Santa Fe.
We can see the 2nd row climate on the side but you kept saying there's no vent lol. At 7:39 you can clearly see it . This spot is even better because it targets more towards the body rather than your knees.
@Spikejou

No he said that there aren’t climate controls. Not that there aren’y vents. He did say there aren’t vents in the center because of the design of the center storage, but was talking about the lack of climate control.
WOW, That rear end is wild
I love the rear end, honestly. Kind of has modern retro vibes. I'm much less a fan of the front, which to me looks like a futuristic range rover.
3:28 wish we could pick if we wanted the spare tire or the tire mobility kit. I prefer having the spare tire kit but in some dealerships, even the Calligraphy trim comes WITHOUT the spare tire.
i was waiting on this one because this thing is beautiful.. i love all new hyundai desings specially this one and the ioniq 6
interior design is unexpectedly good
I just cant stop seeing the dog bone headlight and tailights.
The rear passenger climate vents appear to be on the slide door pillar, next to the left side of the back of the driver and front passenger seats 😀

there's no way that all of you are this passionate about new range rover steering wheels

Great video and a thorough review as well... i do agree with the fact that this tune of Santa Fe would've been better off with an 8 or 9 sp TC gearbox (from having seen other reviews of Santa Fe shifting as well) PS: Could you kindly enable the gear indicator ie.D1,D2 etc. on the digital display in the future videos.
I’m seriously considering this car. For the money it’s one of the better buys out there. I’m deciding between this Santa Fe and the Chrysler Pacifica. Which one would you say is more fun to drive ?
don't think the lack of vents in the middle is that big of a deal, there are vents underneath the front row seat belts on the B pillar.
It looks especially like a range rover in the white color. Like the one that was lurking in the beginning.
7:31 right above your left hand I noticed that there was a climate vent in the second row
I'd love to see @TheTopher drive the new Sonata N-Line!
topher did you check out the chevy traverse already?
This looks identical to the old Ford Flex. Why not keep the standard Santa Fe design?
@TheUnreadableUser
2 ай бұрын
Because the palisade already looks almost exactly like the out going Santa Fe
If you look closely there are vents right in the corner of the front seats and the mid row doors
The eye/face pointing camera, it's getting blocked by the steering wheel if not on neutral position.
The rear is honestly really growing on me
When I saw the thumbnail I thought lol TheTopher put Santa Fe in the title for a Range Rover video. I was mistaken, and now I am confused.
The vent for second row seating is in between the front seat and door you can see it best at 7:35
I've owned hyundais in the past (2000 accent, a complete junk lol) and currently own two (2020 palisade, 2022 santa cruz) and absolutely LOVE them. Amazing value. Not just value, amazing cars period. Just like all manufacturers you can find evidence of cost cutting here and there. That's usually what you get with 40 to 50K ish cars. But they're well built, good looking, performs well. And this santa fe absolutely looks like a much more expensive vehicle than it is.
The rear is growing on me. Looks unique.
I think the cows approve of the Santa Fe 😂
i noticed there appear to be vents in the B pillar for the 2nd row seats
Like the front, the rear looks like a Previa.
I'm still surprised they threw the DCT in this. It makes sense in my Sonata N-Line because it's more performance oriented, and like Substitute Topher said, it's best when it's aggressive. I drive my car very hard, and the DCT is a lot of fun in those cases. However, the DCT is not good at being smooth (at low speeds). You can really feel it complaining in stop and go traffic and similar low speed situations. I'm curious how they'll hold up in the Santa Fe.

@@Jazc-mp889 How I took it is that he meant there is no climate control panel anywhere in the second row, and no vents THERE (as in the center console) because of the design. @@Spikejou yes he said there was no climate control for the second row, which is correct. But he also said that there’s no vents there either and did not even notice the ones on the pillar. Did the transmission fall out?
I think the Highlander wipes the floor with this on quality and just not feeling like a cheap toy.
Lol they even named the trim level Calligraphy
Second row vents are on the B pillar
it was going so well untill absence of second row climate control. Great review btw.
THE STEERING WHEEL!
The decision to put a DCT into a large 3-row is pretty wild
Is the ride height similar to grand Highlander?
B Pilar lol😂 looked right at the vents 😂😂😂
Can you drive the 2024 Hyundai Sonata?
What is the block on the left side of the dashboard?
I'm interested to see what the palisade redesign looks like, I'm assuming it'll look like the bigger Range Rover HSE which I'm hopeful for as while I like this design, the rear is horrendous to me. Everything else I love however so I'm hoping the 2026 is more faithful to the Range Rover design laguage towards the rear.
I thought ppl were dramatic for saying it looks like a rr, because it didnt. Well actually, i found out there is a particular model that legitimately look almost identical lmao
Ditto can the DCT & use an 8 or 10 spd reg trans.
