I really appreciate the honesty, and the neutral comparison between all the bows. Not being affiliated with one or the other companies makes the decision process more real. It does in the end come down to what fits each person better. I’m looking forward to seeing the full bow build.

Thanks for the run down on how to select a bow. You are so right that a bow for a person is specific to the individual. Most manufacturers make great equipment so it just boils down to side by side for everyones decision. I picked a Darton over a Bowtech and Mathews last year and am pleased with that personal choice.

The LIFT won out because it felt better in my hand and the Alpha X felt like a tank in my hand after the LIFT. All these bows are SICK!!! Id take any of them into the woods.

Something that I have found very critical for me is how sensitive and constant a bow is to form. I find that different bows may be more or less forgiving to each individuals hand placement and release. I test this during my tuning phase by shooting multiple arrows through paper to see how small hand placement changes and torque affects arrow tune. This seems to help with overall accuracy and consistency in most cases.

Went through it last year as a first timer getting into the sport. Sadly I don't have a competent pro shop near me. His videos really helped and I ended up buying the bowtech reckoning gen 2. The amazing tuneability was the major selling point for me, because I had to do everything on my own and I love tinkering. But being able to go to a good pro shop and shoot all the different bows and have them set up correctly is amazing. Hope you have that opportunity!

They are all good it's about personal feel. That being said, you can't argue the fact that mathews just gets it with features and accessories. they aren't the fastest and until this year with the lift even in the game on the weight side (no carbon option), but they get it with extras. @longshotdiedtired1582 For the longest time (20 of my 30+ years of shooting a bow), I've gravitated to the shorter ATA bows. With short risers. Mainly because of being a treestand hunter. But, in the last few years, I've been looking at bows at least 32 inches ATA. And with longer risers. My 2 bows right now are a 2007 Diamond Triumph that is 31.5 ATA with a 23 inch riser, and my new 2022 Bear Legit that is a little shorter at 30 inches ATA, but has about a 26 inch riser. They are night and day as far as stability goes. The Legit hardly moves at all in my hand, but the Triumph wants to sway almost. Any significant wind, and it's all over the place.

A comparison between the Lift and Mach 30 on the outdoor range with a finished setup, would be interesting.

ya i think the lift might pull out just because of the stability

What is it that causes some bows to jump forward more then others? It seemed like the Hoyt and Bowtech jumped the least

I hope they focus on draw cycle and long range accuracy. And do this test outdoors. And throw some real world durability testing (who hasn't dropped their bow before).

Yeah, I'm sure a realistic test is gauging the durability of throwing a $1200-$1800 bow out of a treestand 🙄

They are all gonna be as accurate as you make it (tuning and arrow build). And I have never dropped my bow..

Nice job, and since Keith’s #2 priority was Accessories, did anyone film his reaction at the cash register once he saw the cost of the Mathews stabilizers and quiver system? It’s almost like paying for another bow..😢

Then you didn’t draw the bows mentioned, or you have not a clue what you’re saying. That said- I bought the Matthew’s.
