Earlier this year, I purchased the E-speed. I've been skiing for several years and my skill set was from the 1980's. Carving was not part of the agenda. However, I met up w/some ex-racers and at 60+ I've relearned how to ski. Thanks to this ski essentials review they gave an honest and detailed overview of the e-speed. I knew the ski might be somewhat beyond my ability. However, I was wrong. This ski is the most exciting ski I've ever owned. It's unforgiving for sure. But when I'm not carving correctly, it's as if the ski is telling me to adjust my stance. I know this might sound crazy, but I've been told by my piers that my ski performance has jumped considerably. I think it's in part from this ski.

Finally here ! I got these skis on May as they happen to have the only one set at Head headquarters. Very looking forward to welcoming the ski season! They looked great and a bit scary… but I am sure I will have lot of fun with it

Awesome! Very fast skis, but they do inspire a lot of confidence as well. Not a lot of chatter or vibrations!

I fell in love with Stöckli Laser WRT while renting it. It is not really in my budget. Do you think this is a "budget" alternative to that?

Yes, but it's not that budget! I advise to skip dinners, coffees, and drinks out for a bit and put that towards your WRT fund.

i have just tested the wrt pro and im 100% going to save up for that it is worth it

I’m an ok advanced skier. 50 years of age. I tried the redster s9 last year. How does this compare. Will it be enough for me. As Said i’m ok but no expert (started skiing at the age of 27)

The Head feels a bit less like a race ski and more like a short-turning front side ski. The Redster is more derivative from their race line, so it has more of that true slalom lineage. I think if you're not looking for a specific competitive level of performance, the Head makes more sense.

Interesting review of a ski I would have liked when I was younger, but its weight prevents me and the numerous older skiers out there from buying it. Sad. 😮💨 Thanks anyway!
