Great input - and helpful to know the difference between the blue pro and regular is not just the plate and sidewall, but in the eSpeed and eSL, a narrower shovel!

Thanks for the review. Can you share radius specification of 165 eSL models, also is there a difference in ski core construction between eSL and eSL pro?

According to the catalog, the construction is identical between the two models but Andrew aludes to the sidewalls begin different. Also the binding plate/inferface IS different betweeo the SL and the SL-Pro

Would the e Race Pro be appropriate for the Downhill event? I am mature years now, and I started at boy age 8, taken to Arosa from America for a private teacher. Then, wood ski's were heavy, and stiff. And, even with boots, I tight wrapped "long thongs" at the ankles. Then, I got Head's. The were not that stiff, but they were light. Actually, I do not Vedelin - slalom. I started at Stem Kristi and stayed at it. The only thing I want is the long cruise, "Tuck", on the Bankings. Of course, your edges are your only Bankings sometimes. I don't do jumps. They don't do jumps at Daytona, for example. So, I would sculpt a new mountain: Long Line 2 - 3 miles; Bankings; opens; "Deer Runs"; not super sheer. Insurance required.

So many skis in the head line-up, confusing. Need an entry level slalom for my U16. Probably need the FIS versions.

I am 5 ft 9 inches with 180 lb. What ERace Pro should I get? 170 or 175, or 180 cm? I tend to ski medium turns and am trying the master the skill of popping across each side of the slope. I love going super fast on blue or black diamonds and the trill of my hip reaching lower and lower. I also heard that next year's model (blue color for Pro) is changing dramatically. Any thoughts on that?

Buy hte length based on the turn shape you want. The new Pro's will have a longer turn radius, which will reduce some of the across the hill pop you are looking for.

@@skitalkdotcom I researched and found out that the width of the front tip is slightly narrower with the slight turn radius increase. Nothing else seems to be different. Does this sound about right? I really loved my E-Pro 170 cm that I bought 3 months ago. Now I am thinking 180 cm to enjoy higher speed stability and still a tight turn. My one question is, what is the optimal weight to do most popping carving? I love caving enough to lose some weight from my current 185 lb.
